I looked at Louis as I walked into the living room. "He asked if we can take an emergency placement of four kids."
He looked up from his work. "What did you say?" he asks.
I reply with, "I told him I would ask you about it and see if we could."
"Can we? Oh can we Li?"
I pretend to think about it for a moment to tease him. "I think we should. They need a home and we've got the space."
He cheered. "Yay! Thanks Li!" He hugs me and I smile.
Leaving his work, Louis dances around the living room. I chuckle. This is the love of my life.
I texted Sam and let him know we could take them if they still need a home. He thanked me and said they would be there shortly and he was on his way with the files.
"Sam is on his way with the files."
"Ok."
I chuckle. "Did you forget to grade some papers?"
"Oh shit right."
Louis sits next to me and grabs his students' papers. I don't have a clue why a drama teacher would need paperwork done but I don't question it. There was a knock at the door and I get up to open it.
"Hi Sam."
"Hi. These are the files. Four boys, three are teenagers. None are related but you can't separate their homes or it's all hell."
"Ok." I look at the files in my hand, three teenagers will possibly be tough but I think we can handle it. "How's Dean?"
He frowned. "Still a pain in my ass. Don't know why it has to be my brother of all people to bug me the most." He chuckles at the end. "How's Louis?"
I smile. "He's doing good. Still a man-child."
"Am not!" Louis yells back.
"I have to head out to see who's getting those boys and before Dean calls with his weird conversation he has to have."
"Alright. Have fun with your man-child brother who drives you insane," I say to Sam.
"Yeah. I'll try. Have fun with your man-child husband."
When I walk into the room and sit next to Lou, he sticks his tongue at me. "Bully."
I smile to him. "Am not. These are the files."
Louis ignores my response. "Let's see them then."

Pulled out of home 2 years later (2009) from physical/mental abuse. Got pulled again (2010-2011) for physical abuse and rape. Last foster home took him out because of taking too many pills and self harm (2013). In system since (2007-2020). MEDS:Lactose intolerant and gluten-free. Bipolar depression. Has been in abusive group homes (2012) (2013) (2014-2015). In system since (2012-2020). MEDS:Has really bad schizophrenia. Builds up emotions and falls apart all at once.

Louis nodded. "Yeah... Wait there's a sticky note here." He read it. Repeating out loud, he reads again, "All four boys were in a group home together since 2014. Niall came in 2015 and the older three took care of him. They refuse to leave one another."
I look at him. "I think this time that they found a good foster home. One that will give them what they need." Louis nods.
