Hi again guys! Sorry for not updating sooner, but I had to write a WHOLE STORY.  For school. I am so glad that you decided to keep reading this book! I notice that I have real readers!!!!!!! Please comment if you have any suggestions! Now, Onward with the story! Just a reminder that I own none of these characters, only the plot.

-----------

Leaf was ready. Today they would rescue Wren. If they could find her, that is. But they had a plan. They would go to the market, and see if anyone there knew Wren. If not, they would storm the Lords castle and demand to know. Not fail-proof, but it would have to do. Hopefully the people in the market would know where Wren was. Unlikely, but you never know. Now, it was time to start the plan. They walked up to the front of the line.

"We would like to get into the IC please." The solider grunted, uninterested.

"Can't. We don't have room."

"Yeah, and the quest isn't up anymore. Lord got what he wanted." The other one said, bored. Leaf realized that this was another place people just step over each other. The high over the low. The rich over the poor. It made him sick.

"Can we at least get in for the market? We need to trade some things." The guard nodded, but a smug grin made me fear.

"Sure. If one of you will stay here." We must of looked shocked, because he continued. "That way we know you will come back." Well, I mean, I guess that actually makes sense. But now we had to pick who to stay behind. It meant more time to not look for Wren. I noticed a person basket going down the side of the hill. A lot of people were in it. More people then there should be. They seemed to be... protecting... something. Possibly the prince Wren knew. Yeah, that was probably it. Anyway, back to the problem at hand. Ugggggggghhhhhh. What did the invincible Lord  want with her anyway? Was it Undauntable who forced her to come? Everything made no sense. He huddled with his team.

"I think Stone should stay behind. No offense Uncle Stone." Ivy said.

"No, I was thinking the same thing. After all, I'm the one who probably couldn't get up all those steps." Stone said. We turned back to the guard.

"I'll be staying here." the guard just nodded and brought him over to a fenced-in area. We climbed up the steps, wary now. We made it to the market, and looked around.

"I'll go left, Ivy goes straight, Daffodil goes right, and Violet can wander." We set off. I saw a woman in a stall selling things, and it looked like she had lived here a long time. I walked over to her. She looked up.

"Are you lookin for anything young mister?"

"Actually, I was looking for a girl named Wren?"

"You're looking for her? Why? She's the Lord's new pet, everyone knows that. How long have you been in the city? Everyone's supposed to give her full clearance, but when she came out for the first time today, she was bound! Now everyone knows she's just the lords new prisoner with value. Seriously, how long have you been here?"

"Only a few hours. Thank you! All the wares look amazing, but I don't have any money on me at the present though."

"It's ok. Everyone loves helping new people. Don't get in trouble!" He ran away, waving as he went. So she was here! And she was a prisoner. And she had come out today! AND THEY HAD MISSED HER GOODNESS SAKE NOW THEY HAD TO WAIT UNTIL TOMMAROW TO FIND HER! He was annoyed. Soon he saw Violet, also looking worried. He ran up to her.

"Did you hear the same thing?"

"Yeah, we probably can't get to her until tomorrow." Leaf sighed. Here he was, all ready to rescue his little sister who usually didn't need helping, and they had missed her. Great. JUST GREAT.

"Well, we better find the others then. We need to go back." After an hour or so, they had finally gathered everyone back together. As they climbed down the stairs, they saw the guards again. Now he was thinking that was probably Wren. With Undauntable his mind said. Well, just great. They had just missed her. Well, maybe they could come back and get her. But if she lived in the castle, that would make it hard to get to her again. They found Stone near the guards. The guards bid them farewell, (pushed them out) and they started to walk away. As they started getting closer to the woods, they heard a commotion behind of them. They turned around. Wren was trying to take a child who's parents were obviously sick into the city. As he watched, a guard tried to get Wren away, but she hissed, and he withdrew his hand. Probably a good idea. Wren was known where they came from from being willing to bite someone's hand off. As they watched, they compromised by giving some medicine to the parents, but Wren couldn't take the child in. Leaf chuckled. That was the Wren he knew. She had probably known that that would have been the outcome, because that was what she did all the time. Finally, admitting defeat for the day, they went back to the clearing where Murderbasket was. He jumped up to them.

"I meet raghhh raww!" Leaf frowned and tilted his head to the side.

"What?" He asked in dragon. Murderbasket seemed to collect his thoughts before trying again.

"I meet head man with Wren!" We all gasped. Wren had been leaving the city because the Lord was forcing her to talk to dragons? We all sat down in a circle, and as one said,

"Tell it!" Murderbasket sat down, and began his tale.

"I sit, Wren pop!..."

Yes that is the end of the chapter. Do you guys know how HARD it is to retell something wen you're trying to use as little words as possible? It's HARD. Anyway, Author-san out!
