As Virgil, Janus, and Remy arrived on the scene they were joined by Logan Berry. The chief medical examiner of the common welfare of Washington, he works with the police department to identify who the victims are and how they died along with any other details as to who might have killed them. Virgil walked with Logan over to the body as Janus and Remy talked with the person who found the victim.

Virgil pulled out blue latex gloves for herself and Logan did the same, "Drive by? Maybe it's robbery?"

Logan crouched down by the victim, "I dont think it's a drive by, the victim has to blunt force traumas to the head and a laceration on his cheek. Cause of death is unclear, I'll have to perform the autopsy to be sure."

"Its not a robbery either. Clothes, groceries, and his wallet are still in his car." Virgil had gone and inspected the car finding a few bags of food and work clothes in the back seat with the victims phone and wallet in the front console. "But why did this guy stop?" She reached into the car and turned the keys, the cat started perfectly fine, "This doesn't make sense, the guy stops and gets out for no apparent reason."

"Virgil, it appears there was a struggle here." Logan stood up and pointed to a few droplets of blood on the asphalt, "The victim seemed to have been hit once, then tried to get to his feet and the assailant struck him again."

"Okay but struck him with what? I need a murder weap-" Virgil was scanning the area when a white cloth caught her eye in the bushes, "Oh goodie, the idiot left us evidence." She walked over and picked up the seemingly clean cloth only to find it had dried blood on it. "Okay, this is a good start but I highly doubt this is our murder weapon."

"Most likely not. I'll run it and get back to you with the results." Logan took the cloth from Virgil and put it in an evidence bag, hanging it to one of the uniforms to transport it back to HQ.

Virgil turned to Remy and Janus who had finished with the witness. "Anything?"

"No, the woman who found him didn't get here till this morning, this guy has been dead for at least a couple hours." Remy answered as he took a sip of his coffee that he had gotten despite having to wait in line impatiently.

Janus piped up after Remy, "She was no help, said no one was around and nothing was off when she got to the scene."

"So we're back to square one." Virgil gritted her teeth just a bit as she looked back to the car then spoke up again, "I want that car in the evidence bay, they guy got out for some reason and we need to know why. For now let's go to his house, I want to talk to the wife." Without waiting for an answer Virgil walked past the others and headed to her car.

Once Virgil, Remy, and Janus arrived at the house Remy was the first one up to the door. He knocked rather loudly just in case, they had no idea where the wife was last night.

"Excuse me, ma'am? Washington Police Department, homicide detective, we have a few questions about your husban-"

The door to the small, one story brick house opened as a small voice came from inside. "What about my husband
