Chapter 8

Blaire's POV
As Autumn drives us home, I hear a phone buzz. Sure enough, it's mine. It's our neighbor Spencer (also known as Spence). Hmmm... I think to myself. I wonder what she would want. I pick up the phone to hear a very distressed Spence. "BLAIRE!!! YOU HAVE TO GET HOME!!! THE HOUSE!!! ITS BURNING! It's really huge. Pretty much everyone has fled! The college... Our home.. they're gone. I.. I have to go!!!" I drop my phone and yell, "Stop the car!" Autumn pulls over and asks whats wrong. I tell her and we all start cry. Another car pulls up and the Merome duo steps out! Mitch runs towards us and says, "What's wrong?" We tell him everything and they volunteer to come look at the wreckage. We drive in silence the rest of the way there. When we do approach the school grounds, the destruction is clear. Ash covers the ground and rubble is piled high. I look around and see Spence tilling around frantically. I wave and run over. "I'm so sorry!!! I couldn't do anything!!! I just.. I watched... And Cocoa..." She starts crying. That's when I remember. I had left my chocolate lab Cocoa in the house. "Oh my god no!" I yell and kneel down. Mitch and Jerome run over and ask what's wrong. You tell them. You notice Jerome staring at Spencer... Hmm. Mitch looks at Jerome and nods. I swear they can have conversations without even talking! Mitch looks at Jerome one more time and blurts out, "Ummm, If you guys want... you can... you can stay with us for a while?" My eyes widen and my jaw drops, "Me and my friends?" I ask. They both nod smiling. I jump up to hug them both and start crying tears of joy. "Thank you thank you thank you!!!" I say over and over again. I run over to Autumn and Aubrey and tell them the amazing news. We all group hug it out. And that day... That day we went home to a mansion... To new memories... and a new life.
