y/n's pov
I waited near Shuichi's house. What's taking him so long? He always takes forever on the first day. As I was texting Junko, I heard the front door open, which made me look up to see Shuichi. "Finally, jeez." After finishing my text, I put my phone up and walked to him.

"Took you long enough." "Sorry, I got a little distracted." He said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "You already get distracted on the first day." I mumbled.

"What were you doing anyway?" I asked as he froze. "O-oh just staring at the mirror." He mumbled. I raised an eyebrow. I mean, it does sound like something he'll do, but why did he sound a bit nervous?

Weird

Once we made it to school, we got our schedule and compared them. "Yes! We have the same classes this year!" I said with excitement as Shuichi smiled. We walked to our class. "Aw man, Rantaro isn't here." I frown. Shuichi didn't say anything, but I bet he's happy. I looked around to see anyone I know, but my only friend in this class is Shuichi.

~timeskip to the end of school~

"How are they already gonna give us homework on the first day of school?" I groaned as walked down the halls with Shuichi next to me. He shrugs. "Probably has nothing else to do." "Yeah maybe." We were quiet as we walked home. "Wanna go to my house today?" I asked. "Sure, we can work on the homework together." He said with a smile. I smiled back. We made it to my house and started on the work. It wasn't hard, just a get to know you sheet, but I did struggle to think of some stuff.

I looked over at Shuichi's paper to see he's thinking too. I put my top three hobbies on the paper. "That was easy peasy lemon squeezy." I say proudly. "Are you done Shuichi?" I asked him. "Yeah, just finished." He said as he put his pencil down. "Cool, whatcha wanna do now? Watch youtube?" I asked him. "Yeah, that sounds fun." He replied with a smile. For a few hours, we watched random videos on youtube. We watched anything from memes to vocaloid songs. "It's 7 already?! I need to get home." Shuichi said as he got up and got his things together. "Oh, um y/n?" He asked me. "Yeah?" He then kissed me on the cheek. "I-I'll see you tomorrow, ok?" He blushed and so did I. "Al-alright, see ya." I said as I waved. He walked out and once he was out of sight, I smiled like an idiot. "At least he likes me back." I did my nightly routine and went to sleep.
