Chapter 18

Amy ran into my arms causing me to take a step back, she was crying very loudly.

"Amelia Foster what the hell happened?" I asked while rubbing my hand on her back.

"They ignored me Mad! I talked to Chloe and Kendra and they said Gemma made them do it! I was alone, I spent lunch in the toilets all by myself! I'm the next one out, I'm the next one out of the group to be bullied by Gemma! She called me names in the corridors and she offended you aswell and said that I should just come to you if I offended you because she didn't want to see my ugly face." She could barely speak but I still understood her.

"Ugly face? Excuse me has she looked in the mirror?" Me and Amy both gently laughed. "I won't let this happen! Don't worry I'll sort things out... But for now you need some cheering up."

I took out my phone.
'Come to the park NOW! Amy's having a emotional breakdown!!! - M' I texted Jake.

Before I could put my phone back in my pocket I could already hear Jake's footsteps approach.

"Jeez that was fast!" I could hardly turn around to see him because of Amy but I knew it was him.

Amy removed herself out of my arms and Jake smirked.

"Jake? What are you doing here?" Amy asked while wiping away her tears.

"Maddi texted me to cheer you up!"

Amy turned to me and gave me a dirty look.
'Why?' She mouthed.

'You'll thank me later!' I mouthed back.

Amy was going to say something but she was interrupted by the ring of my phone.

"You still have that ringtone? I thought you said you changed it I mean everyone gets bored of Ed Sheeran at one point!" Amy said.

"Amy there's 3 things I'll never get bored of: One Direction, Ed Sheeran and you!" Me and Jake gave out a little chuckle while Amy rolled her eyes. "I should probably take this call! You go with Jake for a sec!"

I walked away and answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi baby girl!" Aaron's deep voice said through the phone.

I rolled my eyes.
"Hello Aaron!" I made the annoyance in my voice sound so obvious.

"Why so angry?"

I'm not going to lie but his voice kinda made me smile.

"I'm not! I'm trying to calm Amy down as she had some problems in school!" I whispered so the others wouldn't hear me even though they were far away.

"Oh I see you made it up to her like you said you were going to!" His voice made my smile bigger.

"Yeah I saw her on the way back and I talked to her and anyway it wasn't her fault, it was Gemma's!" I spoke louder.

"Alright calm down!" He gently giggled.

"So what did you call me for?" I asked.

"Oh I just wanted to hear your voice as I didn't see you today!"

"But we had French!" I pulled a face.

"Yeah but we still didn't talk!" He sighed.

"Ok Aaron I think I need to get back to Amy as she's crying even harder now! Got anything else to say?" I lied.

Amy wasn't crying anymore, in fact she was laughing along with Jake, I guess they really did get along.

"Ok baby girl, bye for now." He hung before I could say anything. Do people always hang up too quick or do I have slow reactions? Because this always happens.

I went back to Amy and Jake but before I could say anything my phone rang again. I took it out of my pocket and didn't even bother looking at who it was as I probably already knew.

"What is it now Aaron?" I asked as I picked up.

Shortly after I picked up I realised it wasn't Aaron, there was a long silence and only crying sounds could be heard.

"Maddi-" My mums gentle voice was interrupted by the sound of crying.

"Mum what's wrong?" I asked getting upset myself listening to her cry.

"Maddilyn I would like you and Amy to come home! Your sister and her boyfriend have been in a accident and ... They didn't make it!"

I dropped the phone on the floor after what I just heard.
