The Doctor raced up the steps to the TARDIS console, landed on the glass floor, and started frantically flipping switches and pressing buttons, only stopping when he heard the sound of a gun clicking behind him. He turned to face the two men he met in the alley only moments before, both very tall, the slightly shorter one pointing a pistol at him.
"Hands up!" He demanded. He did as he was told, a sarcastic smile on his face.
"Oh, of course. Americans. Should have seen this coming" He muttered.
"Dean, what are you doing?" The taller one asked.
"Look at this place, Sammy. This isn't natural, maybe he's what we came here for!"
"And that would be?" The Doctor asked.
"Hey! I'm asking the questions!" Dean interrupted.
"I'm way over here with a gun pointed at me! What do you think I'm gonna do?" The Doctor challenged.
"That depends on what you are." Dean sneered. "Cause THIS," He said, gesturing to the impossibly large, orange interior of the TARDIS, "Can't be human tech, which makes you not human, am I right?" The Doctors stern expression told him yes. "Well then, what are you!"
"I'm a Time Lord." He said.
"A what lord?" Dean asked.
"A Time Lord, an alien race from the planet Gallifrey." The Doctor explained. Sam's eyes widened, but he remained silent, concerned for his brothers actions.
"An alien? So what, have you been abducting all those missing people?" Dean accused.
"What! No! Of course not! I'm investigating same as you!"
"Then what the hell is doing it!" Dean more demanded than asked. The Doctor looked bewildered.
"What? Where were you when that Armales jumped out of the portal nearly frying us?"
"Oh and we're supposed to believe you just like that? Shouldn't you be doing this sort of thing on your own planet?" The Doctor's eyes turn grim.
"I'll tell you why you should believe me. One, I've no planet to protect anymore. Two, I've been protecting planet Earth as long as it's been around to protect. Three, whatever you think those guns are going to do to the Armales, bullets will just bounce right off them, leaving you in the same situation those missing people are in. I am your best and only shot at stopping the Armales and saving those people and perhaps the rest of the planet. And I'll tell you what, I scanned the portal so I could track where their ship is, and the longer you point that at me, the weaker that signal gets. Would you like us to find them or not?" The two brothers stood in shock, wide eyed and open mouthed, unable to comprehend what they had just been told. Dean, not knowing what else to do with all that information, put away his gun. He stepped forward, looking around at the TARDIS, and asked,
"So what is this place anyway?" The Doctor smiled and turned back to the controls.
"It's a TARDIS! Home grown in Gallifrey, stole it from a museum. It uses trans-dimensional engineering to transplace itself throughout time-space." When he turned to face the brothers again, they both had confused looks. He sighed and said, "It's a time machine slash spaceship. It goes anywhere and anywhen, and we're gonna use it to chase down that Armales! And before we take off," He said, hand on a lever, "You might want to hold onto something!" Sam took hold of a large, circular light on the wall, Dean scrambled to the stair railing, and the Doctor yanked the lever down. The TARDIS started rattling and shaking, lights started flashing, and a glass object in the console started hovering up and down. Dean screamed and the Doctor yelled,
"Geronimo!"
