The prince was stunned by witnessing his mothers death. As his uncle(the queens brother/grandmaster of the knights) approach him, everyone began to weep.
The guards that protected the queen were ordered to leave their duties and to not spread the word. The grandmaster questioned Zeldris, if his father heard the news? He replied " I wouldn't even dare speak such words in front of my father or my king!". The grandmaster tried to explain that it was essential that his father knew and if no one was brave enough he would inform the king himself.
As he approached the kings chambers, the guards refused to let him in. They exclaimed that the king does not wish to see anyone and has ordered them to not let anyone in. The grandmaster tried to reason with them by saying it's of urgent matters, which caused a commotion. The king came out looking furious but as soon as he saw his brother in- law, he smiled joyfully. The king noticed that he was extremely bothered and asked what happened? He replied, "My king, im sorry to bring such tragic news this early in the morning but i had to inform you...". The king was hasten to hear what he was trying to say and said " speak Acturuss, speak! What happened?" He replied heartbroken, "My king, my sister, the queen has passed. "
The king thought it was a joke and told him to stop speaking rubbish and to tell him what is truly bothering him. The grandmaster kept quiet, and that is when the king realized that he was actually speaking the truth. The tears in his eyes started to fall as he was in disbelief. He asked Arcturuss to please leave him alone. The king could not help but think of the beautiful memories he shared with the queen. Soon the news was shared to kingdom.
The court called for the king as he had to plan the burial for his late wife. The king
Came fuming through the door. As his advisor started to speak the king interrupted them and said " who ever dares to mention what happened today, I swear that this day next year will be their death anniversary!"
The young prince told his father that his mother deserves a proper burial and that his uncle could take care of it. Which gave the king some time to think. That same night, the citizen all lit up candles and said their goodbyes to their loving queen.
