It's freezing out, my breath showing by the crisp morning air. I look across my shoulder as I wait for the bus. There's a short, beautiful, long-haired girl, she's walking this way.

"Act Cool," I say mentally to myself.

I can't help it, I look at her. Her eyes are so big, they remind me of moons.

"Hey, some weather we are having this week," I say in the smoothest voice I can let out.

"Yeah, I guess so."

There was a long silence between us, I wanted to keep talking so I introduced myself.

"...My name is Herriot Lemns, what's yours?"

she looks at me, like this question troubles her.

"It's Layla, Layla Price."

She gives a small smirk, and almost instantaniously, I was hooked to her. The bus had come rolling up the hill by this point, we boarded onto it. I offer her to go before me, she looks as if she'd seen a ghost, she shakes her head and pushes me to go first. I obey her wishes and head on, I sat in the seat next to the window, she boards onto the bus, she looks at me, then at the seat next to me and sits down ever so gracefully.

"So, are you ready for school today?"

"Actually, Mr. Lemns, today would be my first day back in school in almost a year."

"Oh, well in that case, let me be your tour guide today, yeah?"

"......Yes, I would love that."
