I walked over to my kitchen, held the towel tighter around my body and examined the fridge door, then closed it and stepped back. I don't think I opened the fridge, right? While I was looking around more, my eyes landed on the clock on the fridge which said 10:00, yea I need to get my butt moving, fridge detective later. I quickly clothed myself, brushed my neck length blonde burgundy ombre hair, grabbed my phone and keys and left my home.

I walked towards the parking lot , entered my mini Cooper and drove off to work .

A few minutes later I arrived at the book store and noticed I was the first one there . I smiled  brightly, I could probably curl up with a good book for a few minutes until my coworkers arrive. I walked up to the door and unlocked it . I turned the lights on and started my "job" per se, which consisted of putting books that have been misplaced in their section and working the customer service booth in shifts with my coworker, which I still have yet to meet. In the mean time before we actually open which was like in 10 minutes, I grabbed a book, "The Glass Castle", this book brings back so many memories of high school since I had to read this, it's a great book too. I went to one of the tables by the Starbucks cafe and sat and waved at one of the workers setting up, thankfully he waved back or else it would've been awakward as hell, and I don't already need more awkward situations in my life thank you very much. Finally my manager came, and I quickly put the book away and ai started walking towards her. She gave out a vibe of a hardworking woman, despite the fact that she's almost 50, she can give me a run for my money. She was a sweet little thing, 5'4, little overweight, wrinkles forming on her neck, really pale clear complexion that I would die for, and she had the most angelic voice, but the strange thing is her eyes were dark and so many bags, which was different from the interview day, something must have happened, but I didn't want to pry into her personal life on the first day.

"Hi you're Jade Greyson, the new worker right?" She spoke to me.

"Yes very nice to meet you Mrs. Russe, again thank you for giving me this honor to have this job"

"Oh no problem honey, I hope you enjoy it here well-" She got cut off by her phone, she quickly excused herself from me and hurriedly went into her private office, whoever that phone call was from must have been important, maybe that's the answer to her baggy eyes.

I waited there balancing back and forth on my heels. After a few minutes she came back looking more tired than before.

"Sorry, I had to take that."

I looked at her, she looked completely exhausted. I couldn't help the next words that came out of my mouth, my curiosity got the best of me.

"It's okay. If you don't mind me asking, is there something wrong? "

Her eyes looked at me and I felt as if I've overstepped my boundaries.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean t-."

"No, no it's quite alright , it's just I haven't seen my son in 5 months. "

Her eyes got slightly glossy for a second, she blinked rapidly to hold in the tears. Wow not seeing someone for that long must be worrying at the least.

"Well just keep hope Mrs. Russe, i'm sure he'll be found."

"I hope so. He goes away sometimes but comes back in a few weeks at the most, five months is just too-too long" and she burst into tears. I couldn't help but hug her and help her to her office, since all the customers were staring. Honestly i'm bad at consoling people but I guess i'll try.

"Hey Mrs. Russe, why don't you just sit down and i'll get you some water okay." She nods and I go by her mini fridge, there were tons of pictures, most of her with a young guy that has some aspects of her; blonde hair, green eyes, and that jawline was to die for. Maybe this guy was her son.

"He's my son." It's like she could read my mind, I blushed and I quickly grabbed the water bottle and gave it to her.

"He's handsome." Wow word vomit way to go, tell your boss that her missing son is "handsome" really Jade really? She thankfully smiled at my comment, and not looked like she wanted to pimp slap me to Africa.

"Yes, my Xavier was sure a heart breaker." I noticed her eyes slant down when she said 'was'. "Girls would surround him like flies, but my boy isn't what I would say a relationship type. Now I didn't pry in his love life- wait why am I telling you all of this, I tend to ramble I'm sorry"

"Oh no mam it's okay, we all tend to ramble from time to time." I glanced at the clock and decided to go outside to actually work. "Well Mrs.Russe I would love to talk more about it, but I think I need to actually work"

"Oh yes dear, after all I am paying you. But it was nice chatting with you Jade." She smiled and I got out to work.

Five hours later, I was finally back home. I walked inside threw my phone on the couch, took off my shoes. I was drained, my body felt as though a werewolf jumped me on the way home.

"Stupid werewolves. "

I chuckled, I guess skipping lunch really does make you crazy.  My stomach grumbled at the thought of a nice warm pizza. Oh how I was hungry.

I picked up my phone to order pizza,  before the monster that I call my stomach was unleashed. After I was done giving my order I turned on the TV to watch some supernatural. Fourty minutes later my delicious pizza finally came. I walked up to the wooden door and opened it.

"Hey here's your medium chicken jalepeno pizza, it will be $14.28." A middle aged guy gave me my pizza and I gave him the money, including tip of course. He left and I set the pizza on the coffee table and went to the kitchen to get a drink.

I opened up the freezing cold fridge, which was surprising since it was like August and I didn't have the AC that high. I looked inside for a water bottle, what can I say I like being healthy. But instead of just water I got a fridge full of multiple food items I've never even tasted, what the hell? This fridge is the weirdest thing I've ever had. It keeps on stocking up by itself, it apparently opens by itself, and the tempature is off the charts, I need to call this Fridge's company tomorrow. I grabbed the water bottle hesitantly and went back to the living room to eat. I put on a Twilight marathon and I kid you not, I heard something slam in  the kitchen Okay um I don't think this is normal. I quickly reached for the nearest weapon, it being a remote. Yes that's how I'm gonna kill someone, with a remote. So practical, am I right? Oh the situations I'm in. I sneaked up to the kitchen "Watch out fool, you don't wanna mess with me and my remote!" I screamed, but apparently to no one since there was no one in there. Weird.

"Ding Dong" I jumped fiercly at the door bell, why do things have to sneak up on  me.
