Percy's POV:
As I walked back to the Poseidon cabin, I decided to go visit Grover for a while. To my realisation, grover was already there. I greeted him with a, "Hey, G-Man! I was about to go visit you, what makes you come here?" "Well, um I've heard a rumour (if you watched The Umbrella Academy you can relate 😉) that Annabeth... um has a crush on you." I was stunned by the news but also quite happy, you see, I've also had a crush on Annabeth since the very first quest we had. But my Wise girl doesn't really tell anyone her secrets, she's more of a, private person. "What makes you say that?" I asked, trying to contain my happiness and confusion. "Well people said that the Stolls read Annabeth's diary... and Annabeth might have found out..." he said. "So that's why she didn't really want to talk to me at lunch... well I mean, is that a good thing...?" I asked, worried of his reaction to my last thought. "Yeah, I mean, you liked her since our very first quest, but I'm not very sure if that's true. You know what the Stolls do, they could just be lying and it might not be true. But I'm sure Annabeth sees something in you man." he assured me. I sigh and said, "Yeah, I guess so. I don't think anyone knows that I really like Annabeth, except you because you can read my thoughts and feelings. Oh well, I'll just wait for the perfect timing to tell her how I feel." "Whatever Percy, you go find a way, I need to back to Juniper since I told her we were having a date. Bye Percy and good luck!" he quickly ran off to go find Juniper.
I just laid down on my bed, trying to think through what I have just witnessed, Annabeth might like me back! I mean, it's a miracle! Oh man, I really need to find a way to tell her how I feel. I just didn't have the guts to tell her! She's my best friend, and I didn't want to change that. Ughhh I'm so stuck. What should I do? Should I just tell her? Or should I do something? I don't know!!! Her startling grey eyes, her honey blonde hair and her lemon smell! I just love it so much! But I also like how she's strong and can be really nice. She cares about people around her and does everything her way. Sometimes I think about how much I like Annabeth. I'm still not very sure, do I like her that much? Then it hit me, I'm in love with my best friend.
