Annabeth's POV

Percy just asked me to go on a date! Of course I would say yes, after realising that he was the 'mysterious man' who I can hear thoughts of. Though I can't really listen to every single thought he has, I still hear majority of it. Like how he was thinking of words to describe me when I sit by the canoe lake.

As we walked towards the Big house, there were campers whispering and looking at me and Percy. I blushed at that thought thinking if they think Percy's going to take me on a date. Some girls were looking at me with disguised, they're just jealous, I thought. We walked inside the Big House and saw Chiron playing checkers with Mr. D. "Oh hey Percy, Annabeth, What brings you here?" Chiron greeted us. "Hello Peter Johnson and Annie Bell Lace. (A/N: sorry I forgot what Mr D calls Annabeth's last name, I also wanted to type 'Annie Bell Face'🤣) What bring you here?" Mr. D greeted us with much sarcasm. "Hi Chiron, Mr.D, I'm here on behave to ask you for permission. I wanted to take Annabeth to go eat Outback which just take about a half hour drive." Percy started. "Sure Percy! Of course you can! Go on now, or there'll be a lot of people lining up. Just make sure to get your sword and dagger ready for anything. You never know when you'll need it." Chiron said. "Ok now bye kids go and eat or whatever." Mr. D said hurriedly. "Bye children! Enjoy your date!" Chiron farewelled. Me and Percy blushed deep red. Date? Did he say that out loud? We exited awkwardly and began to get a ride. 

Me and Percy didn't take at all during the drive. That half hour felt like eons! I was still blushing on what Chiron said earlier, I was also listening to Percy think. 

'Date? Chiron, seriously, I'm embarrassed enough that I would confess to Annabeth later!!! Ughh my luck is just plain bad. I hope Annabeth also feels the same way... I mean, it doesn't look like it but I sure do hope so. I love her so badly and I-- I-- kinda want to kiss her later... so um. Percy! You confessing to her doesn't mean you she's gonna kiss you! Take things slowly. OHHHH Oh god! We almost crashed! Stay focused Percy, stay focus.'

I blushed even deeper, like scarlet red deep. Percy too, we almost crashed thanks to him thinking about kissing me. I too would like to experience that. Is he really going to confess later? Do I love him that much too?  I guess so, that's why I've been having these weird dreams about us making out. Ugh Annabeth! You are a daughter of Athena for god's sake! What has gotten into me??? We finally arrived after those train of thoughts. I was excited and really nervous at the same time. Let's see how this goes.
