Chapter 1. Well Hello.

Aria's POV

I walked into the grocery store looking like a piece of crap. I had on baggy sweat pants that belonged to my brother Mike, and an old Hollis t-shirt with my hair thrown up into a messy bun.

I walked around, scanning each aisle and decided I needed a little treat, I mean my boyfriend dumped me a couple weeks ago when I thought he was the one. When I thought we'd be together for better or worse. But whatever, he moved on. I should too.

My thoughts trailed off when I walked by the frozen foods section. I paused and stepped back a bit. I walked into the ice cream section. This usually does trick...

I walked through the aisle looking for my favorite ice cream, play dough ice cream. I noticed a girl who looked in her early twenties. She was tallish with long blonde straight hair, tan skin, and skinny with a light pink dress and a white cardigan. She was absolutely stunning.

After examining the girl for a second or two, I spotted play dough ice cream. I smiled and walked over to it and reached for it. Someone's hand brushed against mine, it was the mysterious girl.

"Oh sorry." The girl said pulling her hand back.

"Oh no worries," I said, pulling my hand back too.

"Okay let's decide who gets it. we will both tell each other why we are getting the ice cream and we'll see who has the better reason." The girl smirked.

"Okay, deal." I said smiling too, "But you first, what's your reason?"

"Okay, umm me and my boyfriend are going to watch a movie in his apartment and eat play dough ice cream. And your reasoning?" The girl said pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. Her long blonde hair swayed behind her ear as she smiled innocently.

"Ahh, I see. And my reason is my boyfriend who I dated for about 3 years just broke up with me so I'm planning on reading and eating play dough ice cream all day." I sighed.

I was jealous of this girl, I missed when Ezra and I cuddled up and watched movies. We usually watched China Town because Ezra wanted me to see the whole thing through for once without falling asleep.

"You for sure win." The girl said handling me the tub of ice cream, and raising her eyebrows.

I handed it back to her, "Nah, it's fine. I have more at home I think."

"Are you sure? Thank you so much!" The girl said sweetly.

"And by the way, I'm Talia, you?" Talia said holding her hand out.

I shook her hand, "Aria." I smiled.

"See you around Aria." Talia said handing me her number. I raised my eyebrows slightly but nodded.

"Yeah, see you around." I said giving her mine.

I watched as Talia walked off and into the embrace of a some guy. He looked cute from the back, but I couldn't quite see his face.

I grabbed some mint chocolate chip ice cream, payed for it and headed out.

It's going to be a loooooonnngggg day.
