AFTER ALLAIA AWOKE, she was slightly confused by her surroundings. She was lying on someone else's bed, covered with a fluffy blanket. Her head ached horribly, the pain was ramming into her skull in a severe pattern, causing Alle to let out a quiet grunt. Even though the sunlight was subdued by the tent's flaps, the brightness still blinded Allaia, so she wiped her eyes, assimilating herself to the dazzling blaze.
"Sleeping beauty is finally awake." Bellamy smiled at her widely, entering the inside of the tent.
"Uh, hi, Bell." The shimmering rosiness fell upon her cheeks, betraying the way her mind reacted to his affectionate words. "How long was I out?" Allaia asked with a groan, hiding her face into the pillow, trying to extinguish the thriving fire igniting her features.
"About twelve hours." He replied, positioning himself on the bed close enough, but not to contravene her privacy. "How are you feeling, love?" Among his apparently casual tone, an undertone of concern incised nevertheless.
"I'm okay." Allaia assured. "My head only hurts a little bit, but it'll pass. How's Finn?" She inquired worriedly.
"Your brother is still asleep." Bellamy responded gently, giving her hand a comforting squeeze. "Clarke says he'll be alright."
Allaia breathed in relief.
"Why didn't you tell anyone that you were poisoned too?" Bellamy questioned; a hint of resentment was undoubtedly audible in his slightly irritated tone.
"Everyone was so worried anyway. I didn't wanna make it worse. Finn was more important." Allaia explained quietly, shrugging.
"You're important too, angel." Bellamy pressed, staring deeply into her eyes; a trace of internal affection was gleaming in his honest cast.
Allaia seemed to get lost in the intensity of his ardent gaze. His glimpse held so much emotion, seeking to unveil the extent of her soul in a crystal reflection, to reveal her innermost mysteries. Bellamy could stare at Allaia for eternity; her mesmerizing eyes were in the shade of lustrous amber with a golden spark around the irises, melting the deepest ice surrounding his heart.
"I know." She whispered almost silently; the reality swirling into foreign illusion. "I have to check on Finn." Allaia admitted chaotically, neutralizing chemistry flickering between their glances.
Quickly, she tried to get up from the bed, but she lost her balance, falling onto the sheets out of vertigo.
"Hey, take it easy." Bellamy murmured tenderly. "Here, let me help you, Alle." Slowly, with the biggest delicacy, he wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her upwards; their uneven breaths were interlacing in virtue of their proximity.
Their hands remained intertwined as they were walking towards the drop ship, both unwilling to let go of one another. It was like the most natural habit of all; the warmth radiating from their bodies seemed to alleviate their concerns like an ethereal rainbow after the dire storm, mirroring their essential hopes.
When Allaia and Bellamy entered the drop ship, Finn was already awake, accompanied by Clarke.
"Hi, big brother." Allaia smiled at him, instantly pulling away from Bellamy.
