Jason
The night we defeated Gaea, all of the campers gathered around the camp fire, hugging each other and mourning the loss of so many campers. The Romans were here supporting us, after all, we were allies now. "He was only nine." I heard Annabeth say. "It was his first year at camp." Annabeth started crying and Percy gave her a shoulder hug. Annabeth then took out a gray cloth with an owl on it that said "Isaac" and threw it into the fire as a shrine to the little nine year old that died, Isaac.
Piper
I cried as I noticed Mitchell, one of my half-brothers from the Aphrodite Cabin, holding a pink cloth with a white dove on it, I almost got sick when I saw the name; Lacy. I can't believe Lacy had died. I ran off, I couldn't take anymore.
Jason
"Wait!" I ran after her, I wanted to help her. "Annabeth, Percy, Leo, Hazel, Frank, Thalia, Nico, c'mon!" We finally caught up to Piper, it may not be Piper, but I definitely think it is, so I call her that anyway. We finally found her sitting on a log in the forest, her head in her hands, crying.
Piper
I turned around when I heard the sound of feet crunching leaves as they stepped through the forest. I realized it was all of my friends before I ran away from camp, and my ex-boyfriend, Jason. "Guys, I have something to tell you." "I-I'm Piper, Piper McClean.
Jason
I knew it! I thought to myself.
Percy
"Piper was a hero, how dare you try to claim yourself as her." Percy says firmly.
Piper
"Don't believe me? Take off my hood."
Jason
I reached out and touched the tip of her hood, pulling it off slowly. Her choppy caramel hair flowed out around her shoulders and her golden eyes sparkled. "Piper." Without thinking, I ran to her and crashed my lips on hers. I was surprised when she kissed back.
Piper
I was shocked when Jason kisses me, but I kiss back. After a couple of seconds, I pull away. "I love you, Piper. And I didn't cheat on you with Reyna, a Daughter of Hecate put a love potion into our drinks, that's what I was trying to explain to you." He says. "Oh Jason, I'm so sorry I didn't let you explain." I stroke his cheek with my thumb. "I love you too, Jason." We kissed again and again. This wasn't a fairytale, this wasn't happily ever after. It was so much more than that.
