Everything happened so fast. I didn't even know I was out of the house until the sound of Asher's voice brought me back.
"Ashley, Ashley are you okay? Can you hear me? Come on Ash look at me." He sounded out of breathe. I looked at him and saw the worry on his face. I tried sitting up but he wouldn't let me. I was laying on the ground in the park. How I got there I wasn't sure but as I payed there on the ground I became aware of a sharp pain in the back of my head. "Oh thank God Ash you're okay!"
"What happened? How did I get here?" I asked afraid of what answers I would get.
"Well as we were running a pot hit you in the back of the head and knocked you unconscious. And we'll I carried you" I could tell by his facial expression that he was being serious. "Are you okay?"
I was curious why he was so willing to to carry me so far. I was hurting but didn't want to worry him more. "Yeah I'm fine I'll be sore, but I'm alright. Why did you carry me so far?"
"Well I didn't want anything to happen to you so I got you to the place that I thought was the safest place. I care about you Ashley and I couldn't let you get hurt." "Yeah I like stars. Why, what did you take?" I gave him a questioning stare. My heart was racing from where he told me he cared.
"Here." It was a necklace with the northern star on it. It tied with blue silk instead of a chain. So you could tell it was old. "It made me think of you. I grabbed it right before all that creepy stuff started happening."
I turned and held my hair up. "Will you tie it for me?" As he tied it he whispered into my ear.
"I'm sorry I honestly can't hold my feelings back anymore Ashley I would like to take you to the movies. I understand if you don't want to go with me as more than friends." My heart started racing even harder and my cheeks were crimson and I was smiling ear to ear. "I know that you probably don..." I cut him off.
"Asher I've been waiting for you to ask me out. I would absolutely love to go with you." I was so happy that he finally asked me. Just then we heard rummaging in the bushes across from us....
