9. Ocean Eyes

Hawks sore through the night sky, patrolling the area. He was meeting someone and he was already late. He made sure there was no one around or following and made a landing near an old warehouse. He shrunk his wings and headed inside. The warehouse was a bit run down but the lights still worked. Hawks closed the warehouse door behind him and walked over to a pile of ply wood, sitting on top of the wood was the villain Dabi. He saw Hawks walking towards him and looked at him with a blank expression.

"The chicken  finally came," Dabi said

Hawks couldn't help but smile, "Is that all you got, zombie man?"

Dabi smirked, "Unfortunately yes,"

Hawks sat down next to Dabi, "Let's cut to the chase, you sent out that Nomu a couple weeks ago."

"I was only taking orders from Tomura, it wasn't my idea."

Hawks' smile disappeared, "Well, that Nomu almost got one of my partners killed." 

"So I've heard, it's that new hero right? Phoenix is their name?" Dabi asked

"Yes and you could've killed her,"

"Why do you care if I kill a hero? I'm a villain after all,"

"I care because they are my partners, especially Phoenix."

"Your talking about this hero like you love them, isn't Endeavor your sugar daddy or something?"

Hawks stood up and stared down at Dabi, "He is not and Phoenix is important to me because she is a very strong hero."

"Oh please," Dabi rolled her eyes, "That Phoenix is just some lousy amateur who is out for fame and power."

"That's not her at all!"

Dabi smirked at Hawks, "Don't get all defensive on me, I'm just stating facts."

"Well your facts are wrong, Kyoko isn't like that."

"Kyoko? So that's the little birdie's name?"

"Why do you care about her so much?"

Dabi sighed, got up and stared at Hawks, "Tomura wants to know more about her, he thinks she's useful for something."

"What does Mr. Handy man want with Phoenix?"

"I don't know, he just wants me and Toga to watch her, you know, in case he wants her for one of his plans."

"Well, he isn't going to get her." Hawks told him, "There's nothing he needs from her, she's just a very strong hero, if he wants her to recruit to the league then he has the wrong idea." he turned away and began to walk away

"I agree with you,"

Hawks stopped and turned to him, "What?"

"I agree with you, I've watched her fight and she is very strong. If we attack her, she would kill us all for sure. I'm trying to convince Tomura to forget about her."

Hawks was hesitated and walked back to him, "Why are you telling me this?"

"Why not?" Dabi got closer to Hawks, "In order to convince Tomura I need to know more about her. I've seen you with her, you must know a lot about her."

"Your not lying to me, aren't you?"

"I've been honest with you about everything so far, I have not lied to you at all."

"Not yet you haven't. If I tell you everything you need to know about Phoenix, will you convince Mr. Handy man to not go after her? Cause if I do and he kidnaps her or some shit, I will kill you and the rest of the league."
