In Omegaverse, there are three second genders, Alpha's are usually the highest tanking in society, Beta's are next, the there are Omega's. Omegas have heats once every three months, they last for five to seven days. Alphas have ruts once a month, they last for a day. Suppressent pills and Scent patches can be used to cover them up. Alphas and Omegas have scent pheromones, there scent glands are on their necks, under their arms, on their lower back, on the insides of their rists, and on their ankles. Every person has a unique scent that smells like something else in the world, some people might smell like the same thing but somehow, the scent is distinctly different. Alphas have more rich scents, they usually smell like things in nature, or like spices. Omegas usually smell like sweet foods and flowers. Alphas have the ability to show dominance through their eyes, scent, and growl. When in dangerous situations, both Alphas and Omegas have fangs, Alphas are larger. When panicking, Omegas can drop, they can be prevented by being calmed with soothing scents, once an Onega has dropped, they can only be brought back by an Alpha that they trust. After too long in a drop, an Omega will go into a forced heat to attract Alphas. Hinata, Nishinoya, Sugawara, Yamaguchi and Yachi are Omegas. Kageyama, Asahi, Daichi, Tsukushima and Tanaka are Alphas, Enoshita, Narita, Kinnoshita and Kiyoko are Betas. If you have more questions, please ask in the comments.
Hinata's POV
We are in the gym practicing before a practice match, I know that it's only a practice match but I am still nervous, we have never faced this school before! They were called Akademi I think, they are a college team, I hear that their captain is a girl. She sounds kinda scary!
I miss another receive from Kageyama and he looks mad. "S-sorry Kageyama! I-I think I got it this time!" "Yeah right Dumbass." I was about to scold him for calling me that vulgar name again when the other team shows up.
There are only seven people, two of them are girls, I honestly don't think that girls and boys sports should be divided. I hear people say that boys are naturally better because they are born to be athletic, but girls are often athletic and strong too. And what they might lack in strength and size, like me, they make up for in agility and speed.
The girl in the front is an Alph with short blonde hair and a huge smile on her face. She reminds me of the guy from Johzenji, dye job. The other girl, a Beta, has long black hair in a pony tail and black eyes, she looks innocent and cute. There were five other boys, three Alphas and two Omegas.
The blonde Alpha girl approached, "Hi! I'm Asu Rito! We are here to play against Karasuno?" Daichi stepped forward to introduce us. My stomach started to churn with nerves and I felt like I was going to be sick. "Im gonna puke." I mumble to Kageyama as I hurry out of the room. I hear the girl, Rito, ask 'Is he okay?' as I ran off.
Kageyama's POV
We are meeting the other team when that Dumbass runs out saying 'Im gonna puke'. "Is he okay?" Asu asks. "Yeah, he gets really nervous," Daich explains, "Kageyama, will you go check on him." "Sure." I run to the bathrooms to find him.
Hinata's POV
I finished vomiting my insides out and I was washing my face to try to cool down, I felt like I might actually drop, I have never faced a college team and they looked so intimidating. I hear footsteps behind me, I turn to see Kageyama slightly out of breath, he must have come to get me. "Daichi asked me to come check on you." "I-I am fi-ne." My head was starting to cloud, there was no avoiding it, I was going to drop, poor Kageyama, he wont know what to do, I know he's an Alpha, but he covers his scent for some unknown reason.
My vision blurs but I can see Kageyama's face distort from its resting scowl to a face I have never seen him make before, concern and panic. He rushes over t me and grabs my shoulders gently, I dont think he has ever been gentle with me. "Hinata! Ar-Are you about to drop?" He seemed genuinely concerned. I nodded quietly.
As I my feet fell out from beneath me, I waited to hit the floor. But I never did, I could smell an Alpha's scent, it was sweeter than a usual Alpha, the scent was sea salt and sushi. Even though I had never smelled it before, I knew, I just knew it was Kageyama. The scent was calming, it helped calm me down. I nuzzed my face into Kageyama's neck as I became conscious enough to realized he had picked my up around the waist. It was a position that you would usually do with a courtship partner, but I didn't care at the time, I needed his scent.
Usually Alpha scents didn't effect me, the smell of coffee made me sick, fire or smoke was overbearing and suffocating, wood was meak and unapealing. This was the first time an Alpha's scent effected me, it was bliss. As my heart rate slowed back down and my breathing became steady, I realized I would have to let go soon and Kageyama would cover his scent back up and I would never smell it again. This upset me to say the least, the first smell to affect me and I would never be able to smell it again.
"Kageyamaaaa! Why do you cover up your scent, i-its nice. . ." I say the last part hesitantly. He doesn't respond, his grip lossens and he puts me down. I immediately miss the sweet scent and repress a whimper. Sweet, I guess it makes sense, Alphas usually don't have sweet scents, maybe he was bullied, or embarrassed, well I like his scent either way!
I decide not to push the question being I am fairly certain I guessed the answer. I follow him out of the bathroom quietly, we make it back to the gym where they are about to start.
During the game, me and Kageyama surprise the other team with our quick attack. We win 21-24 then they win 26-24 then finally we won 30-32! We high five the other team and clean up after they leave.
Its time to head home and me and Kageyama walk home together and I chat. As we are about to split ways I turn and bow 90 degrees. "Thank you for preventing my drop earlier!" He looks startled as far as I can see from down here, I hold my bow. "I-It's fine Dumbass!" I stand back up and nod. "See ya later Kageyama!" "Bye idiot." I shook my head at his insult as I walked away.
