"I didn't do this!" Are the first words I've spoken since being here and as I shout them my voice cracks. It probably made me come off as guilty, but I'm genuinely just scared. Anyone would be as the prime suspect in a murder case.

"Oh, she speaks. After you were so quiet yesterday, I thought we might have a mute on our hands. Guess you were just taking that time to try and think your way out of this, play a little victim show for us." Detective Moore finishes with a slight smirk like he's cracked the case.

I've been at the station for over an hour now for questioning, since they brought me here after finding the knife. They put me in a room and let me sweat it out before sending a detective in with an inflated ego who looks greasy. He's middle aged, has a reciting hairline, a beer gut forming, no wedding ring and I can see leftover lunch crumbs in his beard. Hm, greasy and tired.

"I want a lawyer." I say as I cross my arms and contort my face in disgust  at this disturbing man. If he wants to label me a murderer, I'm going to need all the help I can get. He stares me down for a few seconds before omitting defeat and leaving the room. As the door opens though, I catch a glimpse of a detective coming out of another interview room and Lacey and I lock eyes. Why is she here? Are they trying to get dirt on me through her? Does she think I did it? No. She was with me, she knows I didn't do this, knife in my drawer or not. Wait, she was with me. Do they think she did this too?

Theres no way. Why would two teenage girls go and kill a random woman they've never met in broad daylight? And why was the murder weapon in my dresser? Maybe if I can find out who put it there, I can get them a real suspect and they'll let me go. Or maybe if they did their damn job, I wouldn't have to worry about all of this. I could be focusing all of my time on my Pinterest board with all of my dorm room inspiration for the coming fall, and instead I'm gonna have to find inspiration for a jail cell come fall.
