Three days after Dakota getting jumped, she was back on the street, helping mess up peoples lives and observing for Izaya, against Shinras wishes of course. Although she had no problem with it earlier, and sometimes considered it fun, she was very leery to go back to ikebukaro. But of course she did, when she said she'd work for izaya, she promised to follow his demands. She's been back at it for four days now, no problems.
But of course it wouldn't be a trip to Ikebukaro if she didn't get chased! Once again, Dakota darted out of an alley way and out onto the sidewalk, trying to lose the five guys who followed. Her heart was beating fast and she was panting hard. Not wanting to run into the unhelpful dead ends and brickwalls, she brought the chase to the street. After what happened last time, she definitely did not want to get cornered again. She definitely can't take five guys, and if those three dudes didn't coordinate their attack, she would have gotten away, and she wouldn't be scared to go back out on the streets..
She wasn't that scared!! Ya know, just a little bit! But she would never admit it of course! Even if it was just a little!!
Dakota darted around the corner of a building, loving how no one cares, and almost sliping on some ice from the snowfall the night before. As she passed a three story building, she was pulled into the alley. Someone's arm wrapped around her and held her against them, and their other hand covered her mouth. Dakota struggled a little but than realized who it was...
"Sh, Be quiet."
Dakota could almost hear the mans smirk as she tried to slow her breathing. She watched as the five guys ran past in a row, and a few seconds later, the man loosened his hold on Dakota and she immediately turned and took a few steps back. There was Izaya and his smile in the shadow of the building.
"Woah, Izaya, You- Your timing is perfect, okay?" She smiled, "Those guys have been chasing me for the past hour, bro, I could kiss you right now." Izaya smirked. "Not that I want to or anything." Dakota said, hiding her faint blush in the shadows. If the opportunity presented itself, she probably would kiss him...
NOT THAT SHE'D ADMIT IT-OR DOES.. WAIT....... SHIT..
"Hmm, well, you were taking a little too long. Don't want my toy getting hurt... Again." He smirked.
"I'm not a 'toy' Izaya, I'm a human being."
-----
"You get into a lot of trouble by yourself, don't you?"
"Yeah. Why do you ask?"
"Well, I was just wondering why." Izaya smirked as he leaned back on his desk, playing with his knife.
"Why I troll the streets? Money, as you know, is vital for some of us."
"Why don't you live with your family, hmm?"
" 'Cause.."
" 'Cause what?" Izaya smiled. Dakota waited a few seconds and shrugged as she gazed into Izayas red eyes with her blue ones, and a poker face. "If they know I'm alive, than they hate me. If they think I'm dead ... Well its a two way street with that one."
"Hmm.. HaHaHa!" Izaya laughed to himself, and Dakota raised an eyebrow.
"Interesting human, interesting indeed."
"Mmhmm... Keep your thoughts to yourself, you sound creepy when you don't."
"Well sorry for thinking outloud, still, you shouldn't get into so much trouble. You can't get me information if you're dead." Spoke Izaya with a smirk.
He did have a point. "Well its not really all of Ikebukaro, just the south part, which you keep sensing me too." Dakota glared at Izaya and crossed her arms.
Namie moment.
"Well that's where I need to send you. If you'd like, you can quit anytime, although I don't know what you'll do with the information you've gained."
"Oh, so you don't trust me?" Izaya smirked and went over to Dakota where she stood against the wall, a few feet away from his desk. He put his hand on the wall to the left of her, and brought the knife he was playing with to the side of her neck.
"Mind giving me my knife back?"
That's right, Dakota took one of his knives when he wasn't looking... Guess he was.
Dakota gave him a quick glare when he got a little too close, regained herself, than took his knife out of the pocket of her black hoodie. Izaya took it and put it in his jacket with a smile, than turned it into a smirk and leaned a little too close to Dakota, violating the personal space she enjoyed. Izaya knew this and spoke softly..
"What am I going to do with you?..."
Dakota shrugged and kept her hands down and against the wall. "You're so much trouble, but I can't even think of not having you around. You are one of my more interesting humans by far. You're all I ever think about, definitely a favorite."
"I thought you loved us all equally, Izzy, I'm telling..." Izaya smirked a little, but shortly after, a gaze fell over him, one Dakota has only seen two times before. She waited for him to shove it away with a smirk or something, but he didn't.
Without a word, the two just stood there for a minute in an awkward silence. Izaya gazed at Dakota with a questionable poker face, while Dakota looked at him with hers aswell. Izaya took the blade away from her neck as he leaned in closer to Dakota and joined his lips with hers in a long awaited kiss. Dakota didn't think he'd actually do it, He'd pinned her two times before, but then he would smirk and walk away..
Whatever, Dakota went with it. She kissed back as she took and closed his knife and put it in his pocket with the other one. He put his arm around her and pulled her closer to him and away from the wall with a smirk. A few seconds later, they stopped for some vital oxygen. Then they heard what had to be Namie trying to open the locked door.
Oh, Yeah, Dakota locked the door after Namie left earlier. They don't exactly get along. Namie knocked on the door. Dakota reached next to her and took a book off the shelf, checked to make sure it wasn't important, then through the dictionary at the door. That was the signal for Namie to calm her pretty poker face and wait a minute.
