The next few days were spent practicing in the run-down building they called the 'studio', the band's normal meet up spot. It was...chaotic. Jirou was now almost fully aware of what she'd gotten herself into. She was pretty sure there was no time when Bakugou wasn't angry as heck, and in the time span of a few days he'd managed to break two music stands, one chair leg, and three drumsticks. Kirishima seemed to be the only person who could keep him under control.
Kaminari, on the other hand, nearly electrocuted himself on a wall outlet the other day when attempting to plug in a charger. For some reason, he always carried around multiple chargers with him. And when Yaoyorozu drove over to the studio to pick up Jirou, Kaminari ended up flirting with her until Jirou smacked him with one of Bakugou's surviving drumsticks and told him to leave her friend alone.
"Ok listen up people," Bakugou growled, "We need a way to make the band more well known, so give some ideas."
"How about playing at a strip club?" Kaminari asked, grinning unabashedly.
"No thanks, we aren't performing at a strip club just so you can get laid," Kirishima grumbled. "What about using the internet?"
"We could film a video of our band playing and post it on the internet," Jirou suggested, "Then people could hire us to play for them."
"Ooh, great idea!" Denki said, "When do we begin?"
"We should start with deciding what song we'll play first," Jirou replied, thinking. "How about the one we've been practicing?"
"I agree with Jirou," Kirishima declared, looking over at a raging-mad Bakugou.
"Tch, fine. But you all BETTER NOT MESS UP!" He growled.
"Hey, if we mess up can't we just re-film the-" Kaminari began but was quickly cut off as Bakugou slammed his drumstick against a cymbal.
"IF ANY OF YOU MESS UP I'LL KILL YOU!"
"Relax man," Kirishima grinned. He took out his phone and surveyed the room, positioning it between two stacks of books. "Anyways, we can use my phone to film the video. Kaminari, could you push the keyboards out of the way since we won't be using them?"
"Sure thing," Kaminari replied, moving the keyboards out of the camera's view.
"Alright, you guys ready?" Kirishima asked. The others nodded, so hit the record button and went to his guitar.
(Start song now.)
We could hide away in daylight
We go undercover, wait out the sun
Got a secret side in plain sight
Where the streets are empty, that's where we run
Everyday people do everyday things but I
Can't be one of them
I know you hear me now, we are a different kind
We can do anything
We could be heroes
We could be heroes, me and you
We could be heroes
We could be heroes, me and you
We could be
Anybody's got the power
They don't see it cause they don't understand
Spin around and round for hours
You and me, we got the world in our hands
Everyday people do everyday things but I
Can't be one of them
I know you hear me now, we are a different kind
We can do anything
We could be heroes
We could be heroes, me and you
We could be heroes
We could be heroes, me and you
We could be
We could be heroes
We could be heroes
Me and you...
We could be
All we're looking for is love and a little light
Love and a little light
(We could be)
All we're looking for is love and a little light
Love and a little light
We could be heroes
We could be heroes
Me and you...
We could beThe song finished, and Kirishima went over to his phone to stop recording. "That was awesome guys!"
"Yeah, that was great! Jirou, your singing is really good," Kaminari complimented.
"Oh, uh," Jirou began awkwardly, staring down at the microphone in her hands, "Thanks I guess."
"It wasn't bad," Bakugou scoffed.
"Like you could do any better," Kaminari muttered.
"SAYS YOU IDIOT!" He yelled angrily. "I bet you can't sing at all!"
"I never said-" Before Kaminari could finish, he was hit in the face from the drumstick Bakugou chucked at him.
"You're both idiots," Jirou mumbled hopelessly.
"Chill out you guys," Kirishima said cheerfully as he walked over to them with his phone in hand. "Let's all watch the video and see how it turned out."
The four of them sat down on a couch.
Turns out, the video was flawless. Jirou couldn't help feeling a bit nervous about the video going on the internet. Not many people have heard her sing, and she wondered what people would think of her. Good? Bad? Horrible?
"Well, looks like we're not dying tonight," Kaminari grinned.
Bakugou gave him a menacing glare. "Oh, I can arrange th-"
Kirishima slapped a hand over the angry blonde's mouth before he could say any more. "I'm going to cut then upload the video. You all are happy with it, right?"
Jirou and Kaminari nodded. Bakugou just let out a grunt and pulled Kirishima's hand off his mouth. "Don't interrupt me when I'm speaking, shitty hair," He growled.
"C'mon man, you've given enough death threats for one day," Kirishima chuckled.
Jirou stood up and grabbed her purse. "I'm going to head home," She said, yawning. "I'm tired, bye people."
"Bye Jirou!"
"Cya!"
"Get lost."
"Geez, no need to be so harsh Bakugou-"
"SHUT UP MORON!"
What have I gotten myself into? Jirou thought tiredly, plugging in her earbuds to block out the noise coming from the studio as she walked towards the door. She turned on some music. I could really use some sleep...
