After the Foundation Day, things started to cool down and it's turning back to normal. The following day came for the students to receive their report cards.
Emily just finished drying her hair and was tying her shoelaces. By the time she stood up, she grabbed her bag and was about to leave the house when she realized that her mom wasn't in the kitchen.
"Aunt Samantha?" Emily called out,
"Yeah?" Aunt Samantha replied from upstairs,
"Where's mom?" Emily asked,
"Oh, she left earlier because she got a business meeting later," Aunt Samantha replied,
"Do you know what time she'll be back?" Emily asked again,
"Uh, I'm not quite sure, Emily," Aunt Samantha replied, "She didn't say what time she'll be back,"
"Oh, okay," Emily said, "I'm off to get my report card now,"
"Stay safe, and be careful," Aunt Samantha reminded her,
"I will," Emily replied before leaving the house closing the door behind her. She then walked towards her bike as she dragged it to the sidewalk, rode on it towards her school.
Along the way, she was riding beside the thick forest. She noticed that through the trees that there's something else behind it all. She saw what appears to be a large greyish building that appears to not have been used for a long time.
Suddenly, something flashed into Emily's mind. She saw visions of what looks like a battle that occurred inside a building. Swords clashing and debris being etched on the ground causing cracks. Then, Emily snapped back to reality as seconds ticked by when she saw a bird landing on the pavement just inches away from her.
Quick on her feet, she got off her bike, stopped it from moving, and jumped above and over the tiny bird, and landing the bike with her riding on it as the wheels continue to move. Emily trailed to a halt and looked behind her only to find the tiny bird unharmed and flying away. She let out a sigh of relief and continued on her way towards her school.
By the time she got there, Emily saw that there are a couple of students walking in and out of school. She went inside and noticed that some of the students who have received their report cards and sharing what the scores they got on it.
On the other hand, Emily reached inside her bag and took out a piece of paper that had the request for receiving her report card with her mom's signature on it as well as a scanned copy of a validated ID. Seeing that she has what she needs, she put them back into her bag and continued walking until she reached her classroom.
As Emily slowly opened the door to her classroom, she noticed that there are a few adults and some of her classmates in the room waiting for their turn to get their report cards. Emily quietly walked in and sat on the seats beside her classmates.
