"All hail the Crown Prince Cato! The first born human son that will protect our seas and rule with love and honor just like the great Teyron! With this bond I now connect your life with my son Sebastian just as my forefathers did and long may you live!" Just as the great Cephalopods said this, a new pearl crown was being forged for the new king which will rest on his head and be the symbol of the bond between the Cephalopods and the Perciles. Cato was sleeping with his small hand grasping the tentacles of Sebastian who is merely the size of his palm. Sebastian and Cato were both born on the eve of the last winter solstice and it was time to create the bonds that will add a new layer of protection between the lands and seas. Sebastian looked up at his father who holds power on all seas. He is the greatest living colossal underwater with his massive body protecting the whole kingdom and tentacles that could spread through the deepest trenches. This is the ability that can only be passed down to the royal members which is also the highest ranks of the Cephalopods.
Sebastian's mother cradled him in her loving tentacles just as Prince Cato was being held by his mother who was a spitting image of Cato. Sebastian looked in awe at his human who opened his for the first time with Cato's green eyes and golden hair that seems to dance in the small ripples of the seas. Sebastian's mother was singing with a tune he knew too well and Cato was falling asleep again. Sebastian averted his attention to the bubbles that were being formed as the pearl crown was being made. The gleaming white pearls created reflections that danced all around the small children and Sebastian felt the bond connecting him and his human that he already loved so much. The waters around them were full of golds and silvers just like the hair of light on the Perciles. Zeroes that became Perciles have decided to guard the seas and were blessed with the hair of light giving them the ability to breathe and live underwater. Along with this gift are telepathic powers that enables one to communicate with all beings underwater. The most beautiful part of this hair of light is when you find your destined other which causes the Percile's hair to glow a different color.
The humming of the sea soothed Sebastian and he could feel himself being connected to his human. "Hush...Sleep now my child, the connection is nearly complete", cooed Sebastian's mother and Sebastian could feel his eyes closing. He could feel his human's heart and he looked at the pearl white crown just as he was about to sleep. The pure white that seems to calm him down was bursting gold and then suddenly the pearls started turning red... Sebastian could barely hear anything. "Sound the alarms! Protect the children! The Zeroes have infiltrated the Seas!" Sebastian saw Cato's Mom on the floor with a haze of red floating around her beautiful face. He heard his human crying on the floor and he tried to reach his hand with his delicate tentacles. "BOOM!" A great explosion happened and Sebastian's mom screamed in agony as she watched her husband, the great Cephalopods burst. Sebastian looked at the King who is now on the floor dying alongside Cato who was crying. The king stared at Sebastian with tears streaming down his face "Take care of my son..." Cato found himself crawling to his Cephalopods and he could feel their bond nearly complete with the pearl crown almost finished forming when suddenly a piece of glass crashed between them knocking Sebastian off to the currents of the seas. He saw a Zero carrying his human and the pearl crown vanishing. The man looked up at Sebastian smiling with a spear in his hand when a look of horror replaced his smirk. The Percile guard has arrived and the man alerted his fellow Zeroes "Retreat! The Perciles...The Perciles are here!" The last thing that Sebastian saw was a burst of golds and silver but he started crying while he was being carried by the currents as he couldn't feel his human's bond anymore...
"Hey, are you still alive...?" he heard someone say and as he open his eyes slowly to a girl with hazel brown eyes and black hair. "What's your name?" she asked as she cradled his tentacles delicately. "I... Bas...Bast...I... I don't know". The little girl looked at the small octopus and smiled, "My name is Annia and it's okay, i'll bring you back to Nona to heal. I'll take care of you Bas". She picked up him up on her small hands, placed him slowly in her satchel with seashells and started swimming home.
