Luz was finishing adjusting her half-dress-half-tuxedo outfit, looking herself at the fullbody mirror in front of her. She looked at herself from the head to the toes, convinced that she was missing something yet.

-Is it everything done? Suit? Bow? Hair? Shoes? Am I even wearing my skirt or am I in underwear? Oh my god It's like ne of those nightmares where everyone is looking at you and then you notice you are not wearing pants!-Then she noticed.- The crown! I need the Grom crown or Amity is going to kill me!

-Would you calm down?-King growled bringing her the crown.- Take your stupid crown and stop making all this scandal.

-I'm sorry King... It's just a very important day and I cannot let anything go wrong.

Luz took her crown and put it in her head, tying not to ruin the beautyful flower braid Willow had gently made for her, in which she had out so much effort. She was more nervous than usual, she knew, but this occasion was beyond special. Because not everyday is your wedding day.

On the other side of the forest, in the other of the 2 tents they had prepared to the brides to dress, Amity was trying to deal fith the corset of her dress. Even with magic it was a difficult task. She was nervous and a little sad for no one of her family being there that day, but they had made their choice, and they were the ones who didn't approve her relationship with Luz.

Once she was done with her corset, she felt she was out of air. Not because it was too tight, but the nerves itself, so she decided to go outside for a bunch of fresh air. She looked at the woods, watching the flower petals falling from the trees, dancing along with the soft breeze as they descended to the ground, as in matter of days, the autum leaves would start to fall in the human world. The summer would end, as Luz's days in the Boiling Isles.

Weeks before, a huge commotion occurred at The Owl House, all because a old book Lilith had found.

-Are you sure, Lilith?- Amity asked, looking at her mentor with a lump in the throat.

-Absolutely sure! We don't need any portal, nor Empeor's magic, with this, you'll be able to go home, Luz!

Luz had mixed feelings about it, even though she had had a great time at the Boilig Isles, she knew those days wouldn't last forever: Summer Camp, where she was supposed to be, would nearly end, and her mother would be waiting for her.

-Come on, Lililth! I've heard those kind of stories a million times, it's just fairytales for kids.-Eda refuted.

-This way, Edalyn, it is how witches used to cummunicate with human realm in ancestral times.-Lilith answered with the polite tone she always had.

Amity felt she was about to collapse, but she knew what this meant for Luz.

-Then, what do we have to do?

-The eqquinox: the day of the change of he seasons. Once every 10 years, this phenomenom concur on both the Boiling Isles and the Human Realm. It's then the barrier between both worlds becomes so weak that a simple spell would do to go from one realm to the other.

10 years!?

-And when is it going to occur?

-In a few days, when autum arrives to the human world.

-That's great! Luz exclamed.- That way I would get home just in time my mother won't know I didn't go to Summer Camp!

-Well well, but if it's so easy, why didn't the empeor did that instead making such an scandal?

-Tales for kids, Edalyn.- Lilith answered to her sister.

Amity should proccess everything was about to happen. Luz would leave. For 10 years? Maybe forever! She couldn't let her go, but neither she could force her to leave: it was Luz's life after all, she had her life in te human world... What if she forgot her, her days at Hexide, and everything they had lived together?
