Chapter 20

"You can't cancel the two of them since their different. They're suppose to be the same." I sighed, leaning my head against the palm of my hand. "Look here, I did a checking problem and viola! It's equal." Megan began to compare her work to mine and groaned in confusion. Before I could utter a word of encouragement, she snatched the pencil away from my grasp and began to rewrite her work.

It was now lunch time here at school. We are now currently doing our Math Activity, deadline after lunch, at our usual table. The difference was, Clyde wasn't here since he's on P.E. I talked to him before classes start and asked how is he doing. It turns out that if anything happened between me and Goofball, I'll just call him and he'll come running with divorce papers in his hand.

That reminds me... I glared up at the two guys in front of me, staring at nowhere. Well not exactly nowhere, since Kevin was checking some girl out and Greyson was eyeing my sandwich. But that counts as nowhere in my opinion anyways.

"Tell me. What are you two doing here, again?" I grumbled, rapidly drumming my fingers against the table. "Last time I check, your table are right there." I pointed at the direction where the popular kids where seen along with the Ice sisters, laughing.

Kevin flashed a smirk at my direction while Greyson just shrugged, still eyeing my sandwich. "Hmm.... It's boring there." Kevin snorted. "A change of scene doesn't hurt, right Grey?" Greyson nodded in response, still staring hungrily at the sandwich. I rolled my eyes and pushed my plate at his direction making him clap his hands in delight and began to munch it, happily.

"See? Even your husband is happy." Kevin smirked.

"Buzz off, Tyler." I hissed. Megan was still busy on her Math Activity. I was done a while ago, so all I have to do now is slump lazily on the chair. "Life can't get any boring." I sighed.

"Well then.." Kevin leaned forward, staring at me straight in the eye. I began to shift uncomfortably as I looked down. What? I'm not used to people staring at me like that.  "Please tell me about your life as Mrs. Chance."

I huffed, puffing my cheeks in the process and pushed him away. "Shut up, Tyler. My life is already hell. You'd do me a favor if you stay away from it." I glanced at Greyson, only to find him happily munching the sandwich I gave him as he listens to our conversation. That's when it hit me.

I haven't even heard a single word that came out of Goofball's mouth. Either he doesn't want to socialize this day or he has gone mute. I secretly wished for the later. I mean, you don't know how his mouth works. All I know is that when it opens, my day is ruined.

"What's up with him?" I pointed my pencil over Greyson, who now licks his fingers with delight after finishing the sandwich.

"I should be the one to ask you that, Miller." Kevin shrugged. "You're the wife. You know everything about this guy."

"Well, not everything since they just got married earlier this summer." Megan answered, still doing the Math Activity. " She suddenly raised a finger at Kevin and giggled. "No.. I'm still not telling you about Jamie and Greyson's honeymoon." She gave me a smile which I did in return.
