The Bookworm

Chapter 1

I awake to the beautiful sunrise as the train comes to a stop.

I change into my uniform ready for the first day, grab my favourite book before I throw my robe on leaving my carriage. Harper-Mae, my sister, closely following behind, her red hair glistening in the light. We soon spot a tall black haired boy and ginger girl awaiting us, our cousins, Noah and Clarissa.

Wandering down the path towards the boats that will take us to the castle.

"Six per boat." Calls Hagrid from ahead of us.

We were a alongside a few of the people walking a bit slower so we waited till there was chance to board the boats. Noah spots his friends Hunter and Damien, insisting we get in a boat with them.

We all chat quietly as the boat journeys to the castle as we are told information about Hogwarts and told to go to the Great hall upon arrival.

Landing on the shore we all clamber off, Hunter and Damien walk away swiftly. The rest of us slowly wander throughout the beautiful castle to the great hall. To be sorted into our houses.

Time runs quickly as people are sorted.

Harper-Mae is put into griffindor for her courage, I hope to get the same.

Clarissa is put into Hufflepuff for her hard work and loyalty. We had spoke of how she hoped to be a Hufflepuff since we were children.

Noah is put into Griffindor for his bravery and nerve. Obvious really considering his father is Harry Potter.

Hunter is put into Slytherin along with Damien, both smiling widely as the judgement came. Damien made me curious, he already seemed so popular. I suppose as mother said taking it from his father, Draco Malfoy.

Olivia-Grace is next. A Ravenclaw for her wit and intelligence. She definitely got her wit from my Uncle George and his crazy ideas.

It's my turn. I sit on the chair, my nerves running high as my body lightly shook. "Ambition" oh for the love of god please no is all I could think,
"Cunning" my heart was racing, almost beating out of my chest.

"SLYTHERIN" the sorting hat called. Hunter smiled with a nod. Damien appeared appalled that I was to join their house, I wasn't a pure blood by any means. I calmly made my way to a seat, a few people congratulating me as I sit down.

I smile sadly towards my sister, we had always hoped to be in a house together, I guess it just wasn't to be. On the plus side Auntie Ginny and Harry were to marry at the end of our first year at Hogwarts, but that wasn't for a while yet.

We feast after Credence Dumbledores speech. I have a few bits and pieces and then decide I'm ready to go to the common room and dorm. We all wander together in a group as we are shown to our common room and sleeping corridor.

I was to share with a pretty blonde girl, with blue eyes. Her name was Aurora Lovegood. Her mother had been a Ravenclaw, she never believed she was destined to be a slytherin, but here we were.

I wander to the library and read for a few hours until I'm ready for bed.

After many many lessons, from charms to potions. Many books from the history of Hogwarts to my own pleasure reads from the muggle world. Thousands of giggles with my sister, Aurora, Clarissa and Olivia-Grace our first year of Hogwarts sadly came to an end. It was time to board the train home to our family's, and prepare for a wedding.

"ELECTRA-IVY if you don't get up and out of bed this instant I'm going to drag you out." Called my mother, along with a chuckle from my father, knowing I was just like him.
