{*I would like to dedicate this chapter to my friend Kelly, who forgives me when I forget about personal space!;)*}
Faye was NOT ready. The acceptance letter had not been a surprise considering who her mother was, but she was hoping that she wouldn't have to actually come here. She was perfectly fine back in Fairy. Back there, she knew what was expected of her and how to meet those expectations. Here... she had no idea. Faye hated not knowing exactly what to do. She prided herself on being able to meet the expectations of those around her.
Faye had known that people had high expectations of her her whole life. She couldn't stand the idea of being a failure and not meeting those expectations would make her one. She had been driven by expectations since she was a little pixie. They had made her who she was today. The top of her class. The most well liked fairy amongst her peers. The most advanced in her magical studies. The most promising young fairy in the whole realm, but that didn't matter here.
Here, a majority of the students couldn't perform magic, so being the best at magic wouldn't help. Many of these girls had been the most popular one at home, so that wouldn't help. But worst of all, Faye was a total outsider. Many girls had known each other their whole lives, they had already formed their own little cliques and groups. She was not a part of any of them. Of course there were other fairies here. Three others, besides her, and gotten accepted into Reyna Academy. They were all very nice and Faye got along well enough with Azura, Maia, and Lilybell, but they were best friends with Alena. Alena was the complete opposite of Faye. She was prone to outbursts in class and her magic was pitiful. It was true that she was very nice, very bubbly and outgoing despite her limitations. However, people often looked down on her and Faye had avoided her, not wishing to be seen the same way. She had never been as harsh as some of their more bullying classmates, she had just never gotten involved. Still, the four were very close and Faye didn't think that they would jump at the chance to welcome the girl who had been "friends" with Alena's bullies.
In truth, Faye had never actually had any real friends. She had social groups that she fit into, but those girls had never been more than acquaintances. They had never been truly close. Faye had found that between her studies and being a social butterfly, she had no time for close friends. She had never really missed them or seen their virtue until now. She was alone in a new and somewhat terrifying place and desperate for the comfort of a friendly face.
Just then Faye caught a glance of a familiar looking blonde ponytail. She turned and breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, a familiar, welcoming smile. She recognized those green eyes and blonde curls that had been worn in a ponytail since it was long enough to do so. Camella. Princess of Verre. Daughter of Cinderella. Faye's Godsister. Camella hurried over to Faye. She promptly gave her a hug. Faye stiffened. She did not like to be touched very much. However, this fact seems to have slipped Camella's mind. Camella was a very kind and sweet person, but she often ignored personal space. She would always be the one to hug you, whether you wanted it or not. It would do Faye no good to snap at Camella. She would let go and be sorry, but she would be upset and quiet for the rest of the day, scared that Faye was angry with her. Instead she just patted Camella's back to let her know to release her. Camella, thankfully, let go and backed up a little bit. That was better!
Faye and Camella had never been close, at least in Faye's mind (Camella figured that since their mothers were so close it made them practically family.), but it was nice to see a familiar face. Camella's were sparkling with pure joy. She was always the happy kind of person, never not smiling. Faye didn't understand how she could go around smiling all the time. Right now, though, it made her feel better.
"Are you excited Faye?" No, she was not excited. She was petrified, but she couldn't let anyone, not even Camella, see that.
"I guess. I'm still waiting for it to sink in." Camella's smile faltered a little, but it didn't go away. Faye ignored it. "What about you?"

CasualeI've had this idea about a school for the children of fairy tale characters, I may make this a longer story from one persons point of view, but I came up with a bunch of minor characters that deserve to have their stories told. Here they are, the st...
