The night was dark as silence lurked in every nook and corner of Islamabad. A car rolled down the highway road surrounded by thick woods that lead to hidden mysteries.
The sky roared with fury as lightening once again made an appearance scaring the people who resided under it. Fresh salty tears poured down from the clouds drenching the scary looking tress and mountains that started appearing along side the road.
The head lights of a car flashed against the dark highway that lead to the beautiful city of swat. The cover of bushes decreased and so did the speed of the car that peacefully rolled down the road. The car came to an abrupt halt seeing a small figure sprawled on the side walk. The couple got down exchanging worried glances as they made their way to the little girl covered in dirt and dried blood, her little seven year old form was drentched in the rain. Her hair disheveled as she breath painfully slow. The woman's heart clentched seeing such a little angel in a distressed position. She placed the girls head in her lap and gazed at her soft features. Her lips were blue from the cold while her black long tresses were matted and knotted badly.
They took the little girl to the nearest hospital and she was immediately taken in the emergency room.
"Can we take her with us Yasir?" The woman asked with tears dancing in her eyes.
"I don't know Maheen." The man in his late thirties sighed running a hand through his hair. His wet lashes shadowed his rusty grey eyes.
"Please Yasir. Just few hours ago we found out that only a miracle will make it possible for us to become parents and look a miracle happned" the woman grinned at her husband. They had just found out that Maheen wasn't fertile and won't ever be able to become a mother.
The man stared at the closed door of the room where the doctors had taken the little girl. He had been yearning to become a father if it wasn't in his fate then it was not his nor his wife's fault. It was simply meant to be like that.
"We'll try finding her parents and do a background check on her. Till the time we don't find her parents she'll stay with us, we can't simply just leave an innocent girl alone." Maheen said trying to convince her husband. Her eyes held desperation and a beautiful spark that he couldn't deny no matter what, Yasir sighed and nodded. The grin that took the place of her frown had him smiling and embracing his overly excited wife.
A few hours later the doctor informed that the girl was fine, and was sleeping under the medicine's influence. The couple was ecstatic but their happiness was short lived as the doctor informed them about her loosing her memory.
"From what I've examined it's possible that she has lost her memory because of some sort of trauma, I don't find any reasons, other than that. You can try yourself but it'd be better if you don't put alot of pressure on her mind, she'll remember everything on her own. The process might take time but she will. The only thing she answered properly was her name. Zoya" the doctor informed and left them to meet the girl, little did they know that she'll become a part of their life forever.

Yasir's POV.
I heard rustling sound of keys in the middle of the night. I tried opening my eyes to see who it was but under the effect of the sleeping pills I had taken I couldn't completely react as properly.
