Chapter Four

Bella's POV

I could always feel Edward staring at me and it drove me crazy, but I just continued to ignore him the best I could. It was already Friday and I planned to head to Port Angeles after school because I was getting low on Cannabis, but I had to search for a dealer. Charlie still hadn't allowed me to use the truck to drive to school, but after he goes back to the station after dropping me off at home later I would leave home and be back before he even noticed I was gone.

Suddenly Jessica Stanley asked, “Did Edward Cullen get tired of you already, wh*re?” I turned to look at her and said, “It certainly wouldn't take him long to get tired of you. I heard you're boring as hell in bed.” She yelled, “Go f!ck yourself, wh*re!” I replied calmly, “I already did that last night.” She looked at me confused before walking away, she acted like she owned the whole place.

A few seconds later I felt a presence beside me and turned to see Alice, I asked her, “What do you want?” She said, “Don't go to Port Angeles, Bella.” I asked her, “Why not?” I already knew she could see the future, I actually wished I had that gift myself.” She responded, “You're just going to get yourself into trouble.” Alice walked away without saying another word, I was beyond confused. I still planned on going to Port Angeles though, I needed my drugs to keep me sane.

When the bell rang I dumped my tray and headed to sixth period, I took my seat next to Edward without looking at him and began to ignore him. His scent started to make my throat ache with thirst, it was like the thing I had with Esme but a hundred times worse. I put some distance between Edward and I because of it, but it didn't make any different. Out of corner of my eye I saw him give me a strange look, he probably thought I was disgusted by him and that just wasn't the case at all....

Charlie drove away after I was securely inside the house, I grabbed the keys to my truck and headed outside. I jumped into the drivers seat and started the truck, then I put it into reverse and backed out of the driveway. I took off down the highway towards Port Angeles, I would reach my destination in about forty-five minutes.

When I arrived in Port Angeles I parked near the mall and began walking around, I spotted a few suspicious people and knew they were probably drug-dealers. I walked up to a guy wearing a red hoodie and asked, “What are you selling?” He asked, “Are you a cop?” I replied, “No, I'm not.” Then he said, “I'm selling the works.” I told him, “I need five baggies of cannabis joints.” I watched him as he dug through his bag, then he turned back to me and said “It'll be a $100.” I glanced at the bags to see they were under priced, I knew something was wrong. I pulled out a hundred dollar bills and said, “Those joints are way under priced.”

When my hand touched his as I handed him the money, I immediately knew he was a cop. I watched as he put his mouth to the sleeve of his hoodie and murmured something, I knew he had just called for back up. I grabbed the drugs from his hands and took off running, I just hoped I could out run these cops. I put the joints into the backpack as I continued running, then I rounded the corner and smacked into someone. I looked up to see Edward, he just sighed as he grabbed me and took off running with me in his arms.

He asked, “Why couldn't you just follow Alice's advice?” I replied, “I needed my drugs.” He told me, “You don't need them, they could kill you..” I sighed and said, “I don't understand why you even care, you just don't understand what happened.” He replied, “I worry about you.” I replied, “You have no reason to.” His scent was starting to overwhelm me again, so I told him, “Set me down.” He said, “We need to keep going.” I growled at him, “Set me down now.” He quickly set me down and asked, “What's wrong with you?” I told him, “You don't want to know, the truth might scare you.”
