Changbin woke up like any other day. Seungmin next to him, still fast asleep, but that was to be expected, since he was up late grading papers. Their dog, Ace, was at the end of the bed, staring at Changbin.
This is how it had been for the past 3 years since Seungmin moved in with Changbin. Changbin would wake up before Seungmin and Ace would be starting at Changbin.
Seungmin was an elementary school music teacher at their old elementary school. Changbin was a producers at a small company. They met in elementary school when Changbin was in 5th grade and Seungmin in 4th.
They've been friends ever since. There's also their friend group consisting of Bang Chan, Lee Minho, Changbin, Hwang Hyunjin, Han Jisung, Lee Felix, Seungmin and Yang Jeongin.
Chan and Felix knew eachother from their times in Australia and never left each other's side. Minho's parents we're friends with Jisungs and the rest is history. Hyunjin basically adopted Jeongin when he first met him in high school saying how, "he must be protected at all costs." Changbin and Seungmin were the last to actually start dating.
It's been almost 15 years since they met, and 5 since they started dating. Changbin always thinks about how lucky he got. He slowly gets out of bed, thinking about the things he had planned today for Seungmin. He wanted today to be special. 1, because it was one of the first days off they had together and 2, Changbin was planning on proposing.
He was extremely nervous, what if things went wrong? He shook his head, pushing those thoughts aside and getting in the shower. Seungmin would be up when he got out, and getting breakfast made.
After a quick shower, Changbin walked into the kitchen to see Seungmin bed head making breakfast sandwiches.
Changbin always tried to scare Seungmin by giving him a back hug, but it never worked.
"You try that every morning bun, i don't think it's going to work," Seungmin says, snickering. Changbin looked at him with a pout, but immediately smiled looking at Seungmin.
"Who knows pup, maybe on day it will work." Changbin says as Seungmin puts a plate of food in front of Changbin. They eat in enjoyable silence, Ace sitting by Changbins feet, waiting to be feed.
Once they're done eating, Seungmin goes to get ready for the day as Changbin texts their group.
Changbin put his phone away, snickering to himself, thinking about Hyunjin and Jeongin. But they were most likely right. But Changbin still had the thought in the back of his head that Seungmin would say no. He didn't know what he would do if he did.
Changbin didn't even realize that it had been about 20 minutes until Seungmin came and sat down next to him.
"What's wrong bun?" Changbin jumped, not knowing Seungmin was there. A little giggle escaped Seungmin's lips as Changbin jumped.
"Ah, it's nothing pup, don't worry about it. For now, all you have to worry about is the day ahead of us."
Changbin grabbed Seungmin's hand and pulled him out the door and into the car. The engine revved and they pulled out of the driveway.
"So where are we going bun? I can tell you have all something planned all day." He wasn't wrong. Changbin did have the whole day planned out. "I'll only tell you the first two things we're doing. First, we're going go to the winter festival. Then after that, we'll go ice skating."
Seungmin didn't know how to feel about the ice skating. Neither of them knew how to ice skate, so it should be an experience for the both of them.
"Ice skating? You do realize neither of us know how to ice skate right?" "Yeah but I thought it'd be fun to try it out."
