Every Day Is Halloween

 Ben rummaged through the boxes. Between him and Chase; they had about six boxes of Halloween stuff.

 "Hey, Chase?" he called. "What do we do with the gargoyles?" 

"Ooh! By the door!" Chase insisted. "Trust me; they'll look great!"

Well I live with snakes and lizards
And other things that go bump in the night
'Cause to me everyday is Halloween
I have given up hiding and started to fight
I have started to fight

This was a special Halloween for Chase and Ben. This was their first Halloween together. 

They had met at a Halloween party last year. They had bonded after a particular classic prank pulled by Ben when he was working at the bobbing station. They had been looking forward to this all year; and both had big plans. 

Step 1? 

Decorate the hell out of the house.

Well any time, any place, anywhere that I go
All the people seem to stop and stare
They say "why are you dressed like it's Halloween?
You look so absurd, you look so obscene"

 "So; what're you guys doing costume-wise?" Reid asked. 

"I'm going as the Babadook;" Ben replied. "and Chase is gonna be the Phantom of the Opera." 

"Nice!" Reid flashed a thumb's up. 

"Now; how many of your stupid pranks should we expect??" Tyler asked. "Because I still have chills from what you did to me last year." 

Chase grinned; looking over his Prank List.

 "You might wanna hold tight to your drink at the party," he advised.

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?

 "Hey, babe?" Chase spoke up. "Could you help me with my makeup?" 

"Sure, honey," Ben smiled. Chase wanted to make this costume authentic; complete with skeletal-like makeup for when he removed his mask. 

"Well?" he asked. "How does it look?" 

Ben stepped back; admiring his work. 

"Is it weird that I think you look hot like this??" he asked.

Well I let their teeny minds think
That they're dealing with someone who is over the brink
And I dress this way just to keep them at bay
'Cause Halloween is everyday
It's everyday

 "So; what do you two lunatics have planned for Halloween night?" Tyler asked. 

"Handing out candy while we have takeout and watch some scary classics," Chase replied. 

"Right on!" Tyler grinned. "I'll never know how you and Ben do it, Collins. You've got something special."

 "So; what're we starting with?" Ben asked as he set dinner out.

 "I was thinking of Night of the Living Dead," Chase replied. He grinned as he playfully reached for his lover. "They're coming to get you, Barbra!" 

"You're an idiot," Ben laughed as he pulled Chase towards him; kissing him.

 "Have I ever told you how much I love you?" he asked. 

"You mean just today??" Chase replied. He cupped his cheek. "So; what should we do for Thanksgiving?"

 "Well..." Ben managed a smile. "You know how my parents have wanted us over?" 

Chase quirked an eyebrow.

Why hide it why fight it?

Denials, reprisals

"I'm sorry..." Ben sighed. "I'm sorry, babe. I know it's too soon..." 

"Shh; shh; shh..." Chase cut him off. He smiled. "What do you think we should bring?" 

Ben smiled, relieved at his love's response.

 "I have been told I make pretty good desserts..."
