Nonny x Reader

First Day Greetings

Ah, first day in your new mermaid school. You'll finally get a chance to fit in like everyone else. Or, that's what you hope. What if the other mermaids judge your appearance, like your (F/C) tail and (insert color) hair? You dread thinking about it, and quickly shake your head. You don't want to be foolish on your first day. You swim along in and everyone immediately waves at you. This surprised you because something like that hasn't happened to you before. Everyone introduces themselves. There's Oona, which I'm guessing she likes purple, and there's Deema, which I'm guessing she likes yellow. There's also Goby and Zooli, their tails look cool! And then there's Molly and Gil, they seem nice.

Wait, I think I missed one, because the last student swam over to me. He had orange hair, goggles and a neat green tail. He looked pretty shy to me, which I was relieved about because I wasn't the only one. He waved to me. "Hi, I'm Nonny." "Hi, I'm Y/N." You say timidly. You then hear a few barks, soon approached by a.. mermaid dog? The dog smiled, panting. "Oh, that's Bubble Puppy." Nonny said. "You can give him a pet." He said as he pat the mermaid dog. You hesitantly pat it, hoping it wouldn't bite; and to your surprise, it didn't. You smiled a bit, not knowing that Nonny was, too.

"Alright, let's gather around!" A big voice said. You looked around to see where it was coming from, and a huge fish swam over to everyone- wait.. HOW CAN A FISH BE THAT BIG?! Every student sat in a circle, and you noticed Nonny had saved you a spot. You were surprised, yet again, and sat next to him. "Good morning, Mr. Grouper!" Everyone said. Oh, so that oversized fish is the teacher? Huh. The fish- or Mr. Grouper- looked at you. "Hello! You must be Y/N, correct?" He asked you. "Y-Yea.." you nodded hesitantly. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you!" He said. "Everyone's happy to have you here." He gave a warm smile. "Also, Zooli was our most recent student before you got here, so you're not alone!" He said optimistically. You sigh in relief. She could possibly help you out with making friends and what to do here. Little did you know, Nonny was just looking at you the whole time.

"Okay, line up everybody! It's time to go outside!" Mr. Grouper suddenly said. You got confused. You then saw everyone get up and start clapping and cheering. "Come on!" Nonny said to you as he swam to the group. You just stood there, confused on what was going on. Everyone was just dancing and singing to some random song they made up (It do be a bop doe-). But why? When everyone got outside, Mr. Grouper looked at you. "Come on, it's okay!" He called over. You sighed and slowly swam over, going outside.

Y'all I just watched a whole episode of Bubble Guppies (the episode where Zooli was introduced) to get the gist of stuff- Who knows, I might just watch another episode later on to try to remember! :'D

I thought of this because my mind is a crazy bi7ch who thought of Nonny pinning the reader down, saying "You brought something out of me I never knew I had." I swear ima put that on a future chapter 😳😳🤛 And tbh, although my past and present self couldn't really choose a favorite character, I think Nonny might've been it.

This'll be off topic, but the last time I watched Bubble Guppies (before today) was at my friend's house about 5 years ago. I was there because it was going to be the last time I saw her before she was moving away. I watched it with her little sister, and it was a bit awkward since I felt like I was too old for it, but it was fun bonding with her. Off topic again, but I've had lots of experience with little kids, whether it's from family, family friends, neighbors, or just friends, so I'm thinking of working with little kids :D! The situation got a bit wild, though, especially when their baby brother bonked a guitar on the little sister's head, in which she started crying and I just had my jaw dropped, shocked—

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the moment where I'll be motivated to write more chapters of this AND my Jeff The Killer x Reader story. Although it only has, like, 3 chapters, please check it out! And goodbye!
