"Serenityyyyyy" My bestfriend of 10 years yelled while running up to me
"Ummm sir" I stopped him mid-run "why do u have so much energy and it's only 8:00 in the morning" I said to him
"Damn I can't be happy to see my bestfriend or sum" He said looking at me crazy
What he doesn't know is I have the biggest crush on him but of course he doesn't know that. It honestly hurts seeing him with other females but I can't even talk, look, or even smile at a boy without him getting in the way 🙄. He's this hard on me with boys because of my ex boyfriend who used to abuse me and almost raped me until Nahmeir just so happened to pop up at my house that same day. He beat his ass , kicked em out , blah blah blah. I've been crushing on him ever since he defended me in 3rd grade from two boys and one girl who bullied me because of my melanin. I've always been insecure about my dark skin complexion but he makes all those insecurities go away when he compliments me and make me feel like a queen🥰. (Ok we get it back to the story🙄😂) ok Ms.Girl
"Boy no , it's just I'm hella tired from practicing with u and pa yesterday and sometimes I don't understand how u have this energy some morning . The hell u drinking cus I need sum?" I said laughing at the end.
He just looked at me and I was starting to get cautious cus when people stare at me for a long period of time I feel like I'm ugly or at least start to get ugly.
"Hello Ms. Googly eyes , snap out of it" I said waving my hand in his face
"Oh my bad , u just look reallyyy beautiful today" He said scratching his neck (something he does when he's either nervous or lying but I can definitely tell he's nervous cus he's not making eye contact like he normally does)
He betta stawp almost made a real nigga blush . I'm thankful for my dark skin cus half of the things he says does make me blush but he can't see it 😝
"Thanks pooh , come on let's get to class before we're late and you know how Ms. Ellis is about being late" I said rolling my eyes
"That's a tardy , turn around and wait for me outside the door" We both said mimicking her at the same time , we looked at each other and started laughing

Y'all prolly wondering why I got my own POV but I have something to confess...
I'm hungry ash lol , Sike nah sike nah but fr doe I'm in love with Serenity but I don't know if she feels the same. I mean she looks at me for me and she doesn't want any clout of me unlike these other lil girls that be throwing they self at me. I've been crushing on her since 2nd , we've been knowing each other since diapers but I don't know if she wants another relationship especially after what happened with her last. We kissed a couple of times and she always clinging onto me but I mean hey ain't no complaints. Today I'm gonna ask her to be my girl , I've been wanting to since 10th grade but I don't know what she'll say.
"Aye Renity wyd today after school?" I asked while we were walking to the locker rooms since we both had basketball practice and we had to share the court today
"Shiii yk the usual. Practice , go home , be on ft with u , eat , then gts orrr I might come to your house today" She said looking up at me with her lil 5'4 self 💀
"I wanna take you out today sooo ride with me and pa to my house , u basically live there so just get dressed over there. Oh and wear something comfortable" I said while walking in the boys locker room
"OK!!" She yelled
I laughed and started to change into some basketball shorts and T-shirt...
Y'all this is my first book and idk how to feel abt this chapter. I'm definitely doing a part 2 and if u want a chapter or two let me know.
