Can you change the beneficiary of a life insurance policy after the policy holders death?
-
Okay here's the deal. My mother has a group life insurance policy through her employer and in 1998 named her brother as the primary beneficiary since me and my brother were minors. We were named as the contigent beneficiaries. She has since passed and never changed the policy over to us who are now college aged. My uncle doesn't want to get paid and then launder the money to us so to speak. Is there anyway for him to legally sign the benefits over to us?

BEST ANSWER: I found a great site where you can compare quotes from different companies: http://www.insureinfo.us , this is where I have found the best option for me so far.
