The Lone Wolf Walks Alone

The lone wolf walks alone,

Exiled by her kin,

Left alone to fend for herself,

It seems they finally win,

Alone.

Through the forests stiff and scared,

What could be lurking?

What could be waiting?

Wanting to keep her hurting?

Alone.

Paws frozen with the cold,

Stomach cramped with hunger pains,

 Vision blurred with frightened tears,

Fall thick and fast as sacred rains.

Alone.

She comes to the end,

All the fight bled through,

No one longer can hear her howl.

Fell to death, sensation she knew.

Alone.

Who was the wolf?

Why did she perish alone?

Who could be so cruel?

As to crush the gentle roan?

Alone.

All those bullied,

Outcast forever more,

Find themselves the wolf,

The pained, never sure.

Alone.

We, my dear reader, are the kin,

Killing all the wolves that are not the same,

Out casting them for different beliefs,

Forever their hearts we seem to maim.

Alone.

Unless we stop, the wolves will all be gone,

Wiped out faster than a wildfire,

From all the injustice done,

Forced to bend down and call us ‘sire’.

Alone.

Stop the pain.

Alone.

Stop the death.

Alone.

Stop the judging.

Alone.

Stop the terror.

Alone.

Or the lone wolf forever walks alone
