I've heard that many people reading Haikyuu fanfics don't get the difference between kun, chan, and san. So I'm here to clarify. Kun is used for males that the user is closer with because it sounds more "masculine" (don't ask me why). Chan is mainly used for girls, but it can be used for anyone (more personal). San is used with someone that the user isn't that close with (ex. classmate, teacher, adult, stranger, etc). It is normal if there is no suffix.
