A/N: So yes, this was made to be Rosario Vampire as Inuyasha. I have decided to try and edit it once more so it's in the third person and a little less like Rosario Vampire. The plot has definitely changed quite a bit and has strayed from what it was originally so I have made the decision to make this a whole new story. The old one will stay up for the time being until this gets all caught up. I hope all of you enjoy the new one so please feel free to review and let me know!
To those of you whose first time it is reading: WELCOME!! I am currently in the process of revising this story. The old one is still up for your viewing pleasure but I recommend sticking to this one because that one started back when I was in middle school. ^^'
Anyway, I won't keep you guys waiting any longer! Here is chapter one of the Yokai Academy revision!
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters. The only characters I own are Hikara-Sensei and any other OCs (Own characters) I decide to include in this story.
Kagome looked outside as the bus she had just boarded took her to her new high school, Yokai Academy. She was quite nervous about the whole ordeal, especially after seeing no one else was on the bus with her. All her other friends were going to be at the other high school closer to home and here she was having to take a bus and dorm in a completely different city. In middle school, she had been sick frequently. This led to her not getting the best grades. Due to this factor, many of the neighboring high schools were hesitant to take her on as a student. After being given a pamphlet for this highschool by the headmaster and his wife, her mother immediately jumped on board, claiming it would be a more refreshing experience for Kagome. She could get a fresh start. She reluctantly agreed, figuring that they both knew what was best even though it would mean leaving all her friends behind.
Her grandfather… well he wasn't as enthusiastic about it and had even given her some protective charms warning her about demons. She, of course, smiled and nodded but ultimately ignored the old man's warnings as demons weren't exactly real. At least… to her knowledge they weren't. Little did she know, everything she knew was going to be turned around.
Kagome stared out the window, wondering what the new school would be like. As the bus entered a tunnel, she noticed they were going through some sort of barrier and then, as fast as they had entered, they exited. Before she knew it, the bus was on the other side and had finally come to a stop. She let out a small sigh and began to pick up her backpack as the bus driver looked back and let her know this was her stop. She didn't have much with her because most of her other belongings had been shipped over ahead of time by her mother. She soon stepped out of the bus and gripped onto the straps of her backpack, feeling a little uneasy. As she turned back to give the bus driver a quick thank you, he said, "Good luck out there kid, I doubt you'll be too bored at this school."
It took her a moment to process what he said. She nodded and smiled at the driver, replying with another thank you and a quick bow. With that, the bus driver closed the doors to the bus and headed off. She didn't think too much about his comment. Every school had a unique thing and an exciting school would be better than a boring one… right?
When she finally got a good look at her surroundings, a shiver shot down her spine. She'd turned to find a scarecrow that towered over her. A pumpkin rested where its head would have been. It looked nothing short of the creepy jack-o-lanterns kids carved on Halloween, a jagged grin carved into its skin. It wore a tattered, brown cloak with a sign hanging around its neck that said welcome, which was carved into a wood plank. It seemed almost out of place as the rest of the area seemed very serene. Kagome quickly took out the map she'd been given by her mother and started to make her way towards the school. As soon as she hit the huge forest that surrounded the school grounds, she quickly got lost and turned around. After about an hour of going around in circles, she finally let out a scream of frustration. "Ugh isn't there any easier way to get there!" She yelled at herself.
