Chicken, Corn Bread and Collard Greens Burgers, Brawts, and some Baked Beans

Blankets, Grills and Cold Beer, This is my favorite time of the year.

Neighbors together for more than a fight, All together for this special day and night.

Women talk, men laugh, children cry with glee, we here to celebrate our history.

No matter the race, color, or age. This day is special, not for just a page

It's the day we became free and known, This land that we inhabit became our own.

Our fathers bled for us to see, The evil of Britain's tyranny.

Those soldiers showed us the way free, And now we celebrate our liberty.

By joining others in honor of those who fell, To their memory, we wish them well.

So now before i depart, now before the fireworks start.

Remember why you cheer with joy, Never forget them good old boys.

Never forget you're fellow men, Stand. Be Proud. For You're An American.
