Chapter 11 - The Reveal

ALISHA

Dave is from Liam's pack and he will decide what punishment to give to Dave. I understand that Dave kidnapped me and Navya didi, but he didn't hurt us or anything like that. So why should he receive punishment?

I hear the basement door open and all of us women stood from the couch and Nathan, Liam, Luke, and Nick walk inside, looking clean and wet. "Nick, what happened?" Skylar asks.

The men look at each other and look back at us, and Liam went upstairs without saying a word. Nick answers, "Dave has received his punishment. In terms of Jani's death, I'm not at fault and neither is Nathan."

"I don't understand," Nikki says. "Dave was the one who kidnapped Jani and kept her for six weeks and tortured her. He was obsessed with her and she was feeling suffocated with the way he was treating her like she's a doll. He was always keeping an eye on her by putting cameras everywhere in the house and watching her. Jani warned him she will tell Liam what Dave has done to her, but then he threatened her that if she opens her mouth, he will kill her parents. Dave sent someone in place of Jani and tried to kill Nick numerous times but failed and I'm pretty sure you know the rest from there," Nathan explains.

"Oh my goodness," Skylar says with shock. "I wonder how Liam is feeling, not knowing that this was happening to his own pack member," I say.

"He's feeling extremely bad and guilty," Luke answers. "I'll go see him." Navya didi leaves the living room and quickly goes upstairs. "Skylar, I think we should make a move now," Nick tells his wife and she nods in agreement. Skylar walks over to her son and nephew and hugs them. "You both take yourself, okay?" She tells them and they nod and remove themselves from their hug.

Skylar also gives me a hug and Nikki gives me one as well and the three of them leave the house. Luke goes in the kitchen to see what to eat and without saying a word, I see Nathan go upstairs to my old room. I follow him and see him sitting on the bed with his head in his hands. I sit down next to him and Nathan lies down on the bed but lays his head on my lap and wraps his arms around my waist.

"You okay?" I ask and he shakes his head. "I couldn't protect my friend, babe. I feel so guilty," He reveals.

I kiss him on the head and pet his hair, saying, "I know, honey. This must be hard for you, but Dave did this in such a way that no one didn't even realize that he was doing this to his own mate." Thinking about what Dave has done to Jani made me ask the next question. "Nathan, can I ask you something?"

"Anything, babe. What is it?"

"Nathan, whatever Dave did to Jani, you won't do that to me, will you?" Nathan rose and looks at me with intense eyes and takes my face in his hands. "Alisha, I understand that you're scared, but please don't ask that again. Whatever Dave did to Jani, I promise you that I would never ever do that to you. Alisha, I love you so much that I would never think of torturing you."

I smile and could feel tears welling up in my eyes. "Thank you and I love you too." He slowly connects his lips with mine and we move in synchronization as I place my hands on his cheeks. We separate from each other and Nathan says, "By the way, you said that you had a surprise for me at home. What surprise is that?"

"Oh that! Well yes, I did have a surprise for you until Dave came and ruined everything," I tell him. "Oh well, do I still get that surprise?" He asks. I smile and respond, "Yes, I will still give you the surprise. But we have to go home for that."

"Oh I like the sound of that. Ok let's go home then."

"Before we go, can we check on Liam and Navya didi, just to see if they're okay?" I ask and he nods in agreement. We leave the room and walk over to their room, but before I can knock on the door, I could hear moaning noises from inside.
