Criminal minds twist

The beginning

Sarah is a criminal attorney in Virginia 

Shoot" I cursed, as I frantically getting up for a quick shower, so I am not late for court. It's not a good look for a criminal attorney to be late. "Monica" I call out to my little sister, (I have custody over. My mom was an alcoholic and when I turned 19 and she was 6  I decided enough was enough and I went to court and got custody of her)  "I am leaving, don't be late for school." 
Moments later —— "Your honour this is racism, the killing of an innocent man based on the colour of his skin. "I pause, letting my remark sink in. The case was similar to the one on the news a few months ago; this happens far too often. "The impact this will have on the community of people will be catastrophic. Your honour, I am a woman of colour and to see these officers break their vows, 'serve and protect' breaks my heart. The evidence clearly shows the victim continually stating he couldn't breathe! Ladies and gentlemen, I ask you; How is that the behaviour of a man who should be murdered, thank you, your honour."

2 hours later 

—- The glass doors of the Behavioural Analysis Unit stand in front of me, The Behavioural Analysis Unit! I drew in a deep breath before walking in. "Hi, I am Sarah Richardson, "I say, approaching a brunette woman. "....(oh and I forgot to say I am at the bau because my friend Clara Monroe who works in the bau and told me that I could be an a good addition and should try it out so I did) ..." holding my hand out for her to shake. "Hello, I am Agent Emily Prentiss, nice to meet you" she smiles.  Then A tall skinny adorable human being came up to us and said , "Hi I am doctor Spencer Reid" he said, giving a small awkward wave as I went to shake his hand, "the number of pathogens passed during a handshake is staggering, it is actually safer to kiss". As I awkwardly move my hand back to my body, Before a blonde lady with a colourful outfit and bubbly personality approaches. "Hi, Penelope Garcia, you look like we are going to be good friends, be warned my fine friend if you have something to hide I will find it okay because I will not let anyone mess with my family"  ok you are welcome to do a background check. a flitartios guy carefully and playfully drags her away from me. "Okay, BabyGirl you will scare her." The dark guy says "Derek Morgan; nice to meet you" I smile at him ignoring the flirtatious tone of his voice. The team continued to stand around me, welcoming me to the BAU. "There is a case" a stern voice called out breaking the tension in the air." Miss Richardson if I could see you in my office" I give a shy smile to the team as we all part ways as the head to another room presumably to brief about their new case leaving me to making my way to the man's office. "Hello Sir, I am Sarah Richardson, you must be Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotchner" he nodded before gesturing for me to take a seat. "I have a few questions before we begin, I understand that you are a district attorney, I am going to need your attention to the team if  you have a case then you will be excused. Is this going to cause any problems?" "No, no problems sir" I state before he stands up. "We have a case; I want you on the team, do you have a go-bag ready?" "Yes, Sir," I reply. Thinking about the events that had lead to this, my joining the BAU. ' ' Miss Richardson?" The deep voice of Hotch broke me from my thoughts "Welcome to the team". I thank him before following him out of the office towards the room I had seen the rest of the team enter earlier.
