Chapter 12- Winking Fail

~~ Scarlett P.O.V

What to wear, what to wear? It was Tuesday morning, the day of mine snd Niall's meet up. I obviously had to look good today, so i needed to find a cute outfit. I ended up putting on a kimichi blue lace inset open cardigan, with a white tank top and a necklace, i put on light jeans with slight tears in them and my light brown moccasins. I simply just straightened my hair and did my bangs in a braid head ban. I did my makeup natural like i always do.

"8:57, shit! School starts in 3 minutes!" I said to myself as i grabbed my jacket off my bed and ran to school.

I was already late for first period, so i didn't bother speed walking all the way too school. I was listening to the song Home by Gabrielle Aplin when my phone started to vibrate in my pocket while i was at my locker.

"Hey Scar, can't wait for today! I have a surprise for you!

xx Niall"

A surprise? I hope its not that i have to sing in front of 10,000 people again like his last surprise.

"Hey Niall, me too :) a surprise? Intriguing ;)

xxx Scar"

I had a huge smile in my face all the way to second period. I got to school and there was only 15 minutes left of first, so i just went to the caf, and finished my homework.

"Hey Scarlett, i was just wondering. Can you preform a sing for the schools Christmas Concert, or are you going to faint again?" Said this boy Lucas, as he walked back to his friends laughing.

"Fuck you Lucas,!" I replied. People still made fun of my for that and its been over a month. Like seriously. Quit it already!

"Language Miss.Lawrie" my teacher said dryly as he walked into the class.

Whoops.

Class was boring as usual. Its only been 10 minutes, but it feels like 10 hours. The phone started to ring, and for some reason, i found that so strange. Because it is. We never get phone calls in the classroom unless someone was in huge trouble by the Head Master.

"Hello? Im good thanks. Yes... Yes..." My teacher looked very interested in the conversation at this point. " Yes ... Who is it? Oh, okay. Yes," WHO IS WHO? Aaaah. This bugs me so much. Im like the most curious person ever! "Okay, yes, ill send her down. Have a good day, bye"

I was very interested in this right now. And by the looks of it, so was the rest of my class. My teacher hung up the phone and walked over to his desk like nothing happened. He shuffled some paper, and got a pile of them together.

"Miss. Lawrie. You are excused for the rest of the day, here is your homework, and i will see you tomorrow."

I couldn't believe my ears. Did he just say me? As in i Scarlett Danielle Lawire was excused for the rest of the day? I slowly got up and walked to the front of the classroom. Everyone was whispering and staring at me as I walked past.

"Um, are you sure you got the right girl?" I asked him, just to make sure.

"Yes. You are Scarlett Lawrie, aren't you?" He said giving me a confusing look.

"Yes i am. Thank you for the homework." I said as i took it and walked out of the door. I went back to my locker and grabbed my coat, and started to head down to the front foyer to go home. I decided to take the bus back home. I was too tired to walk home. I was about to text Niall about the change in plans, when i got a text from him first.

"Hey Scar, turn around :)

xx Niall"

I turned around, and there he was. Standing there in the front of my school, looking gorgeous like always. I ran over to him and jumped in his arms!

He giggled like he was up to something. "What are you up too? Not another concert right?" I pleaded as i pulled away.

"No, no, no. I took you out of school today so we would have more time together!" He said as he pulled me back into a hug. Oh my gosh. He smelled like Abercrombie and fitch cologne. Like heaven Alice used to say.

~~~~ Niall P.O.V

I walked into Scarlett's school to ask the principal a huge favor! I was going to surprise Scarlett, and try to get her out of school for the day. Her school was really nice. Some people gave me questioning looks, but nobody actually hardcore fan girled right in front of me. Well, that was until i stepped into the front office.

"Oh my gosh. You are Niall Horan. My daughters love One Direction! Wait, what are you doing at this school? How may i help you?" She said very quickly. Personally i think she was more of a fan than her daughters were.

"Hi" i said nicely going over to shake her hand. " i was just wondering if you could do me a huge favour? I would like to take Scarlett Lawrie out of school for the day?" I said in my nicest, most convincing voice i could conjure up.

"Um, yes. Of course! Anything for you love. But on One condition. You sign this poster of One Direction my daughter is making me carry around." She said as she winked at me.

"Aha, sure no problem." I said chuckling. As i signed the poster. She went to go make the call, and i just stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do next.

Two minutes later i saw Scarlett walk by the front office window staring concentrating very hardly onto her phone. I could tell she was lost in thought, because i waved at her, and she didn't even notice.

"Thank you so much for everything!" I said to the principal before i left.

"Anytime Niall, come back soon!" She replied, i gave her a smile and scurried out the door to the front foyer. She was already half way down the walk way. She thought that was a surprise? Wait til she gets this one.

"Hey Scar, turn around :)

Her head whipped up, and she spun around in a matter of seconds! Ive never seen someone turn so quickly. Im surprised she didn't have whip lash already.

"NIALL! How are you here? I thought we were seeing each other at lunch?" She said as she jumped in my arms. Her smile brightened up this gloomy day, and she looked flawless today.

I laughed knowing that she didn't know i was the one who got her out of school. She did tell me at the meet and greet that she was clueless at times. "What are you up too? Not another concert right?" She pleaded as she pulled away from the hug. I don't think I could ever put her through that again. Unless she was up for it.

"No, no, no. I took you out of school today so we would have more time together!" I told her, giving her a huge smile and pulling her back into a hug. I grabbed her hand, and we started making our way away from the school.

"So love, what do you want to do today?" I asked her. I couldn't get enough of this girl. She was just so mysterious, but also playful and cheery. She always brightened up my day when I saw that picture of us together.

"Anything you want to do Nialler, we have all day, remember?" She said as she winked at me, and giggled.

"Let me say. You are an awful winker." I told her playfully.

"Well, i try don't i?"

I could tell that today was going to be a good day. I haven't had one in a while, and I was really looming forward to it. Especially since it was with Scarlett.
