AS OBI-WAN Kenobi once said, "your eyes can deceive you. Do not trust them." The ability of sight is something the human population takes for granted. It is something they all rely on to get them through their daily lives. But what if the sights you see aren't really there? What if the sights you see are your own mind playing games with you? When you think about it, our brain is our very being, without it we're all just empty vessels. The brain controls everything that happens throughout our lives. It controls our decisions, our character, our mobility, our sight, our imagination. At the end of the day we never really know if we can trust our own minds. They could turn on us at any second, make us see things that aren't really there, feel things that aren't really real. No one will ever know the true allegiance of their own mind, so take everything it gives with a grain of salt.

"I don't like this way of transportation." Lonnie stated as Peter finally landed on the solid ground of the pavement. Swinging around with Peter was definitely something to check off her list of things to never do again.

"What's not to--" Peter started, his quickly attention switching from Lonnie to the woman behind her. "Excuse me." He said as he took a step towards the lady. Lonnie watched slightly amused as the woman looked up from her phone and met Peter's gaze with horror filled eyes. "Do you know where--"

"Night Monkey!" The woman shrieked before taking off in the other direction in a full on sprint.

"No, wait, I didn't..." Peter called out to her but the woman was long gone and Lonnie doubt she'd ever change her decision to run. "Oh man." Peter mumbled before turning around to find someone else to talk to.

"Uh, there's a..." Lonnie started, trying to warn Peter of the car pulling up beside them but her sentence was cut short as Peter abruptly came to a stop and the car screeched to a halt. "Car."

Lonnie raised her eyebrow slightly as the window to the car rolled down but her suspicion was cut short as her eyes landed on the face of Nick Fury. "Get in."

Peter wasted no time jumping in the passenger seat while Lonnie climbed into the back. The second they were both in Fury began to drive, not even bothering to wait for Lonnie to close her door all the way. Peter was breathing rapidly as he tore his mask off. "Mr. Fury." His mouth tried to put words together on how to even explain what was happening. He didn't even know if Fury would believe him.

"You've got a lot of explaining to do." Fury cut Peter off before he could even say anything else.

"No, no, no, listen."

Fury held up a finger silencing Peter. "Wait until we're secure."

"Okay." Peter said as he turned to face forward in his seat.

With the lack of noise the beeping of the car due to Peter's lack of a seat belt filled the air around them. Peter whom still hadn't even noticed this just kept staring ahead and fidgeting with his hands. It wasn't until Fury cleared his throat that Peter finally got the memo. "Right." Peter nodded as he pulled on the seat belt to slide it across his body.
