It was 9:30 at the apartment and Trixie had just finished getting ready for for bed. She ran to the couch, where her parents were, to say goodnight before going to her room and turning out her lights. Some time in the past few months, she had taken a liking to astrology and really anything space related. So much so, in fact, that her ceiling was covered in glow-in-the-dark stars.

She laid there for a bit looking over the plastic stickers. She started counting them, wondering if she could make any constellations out of the fake stars on her ceiling. An hour or so past and she still couldn't fall asleep. So quietly, she got out of bed and snuck over to the patio.

Going outside, she laid down to look at the stars above her. It was always amazing to be able to see each constellation. She knew her dad had created them, but it always shocked her at how much beauty he had brought into the world. No more than five minutes into her thoughts, a voice broke her out of her daze.

"Trix, what are you doing out here?"

Trixie sat up and look at the doors to the apartment. Lucifer was standing there with a questioning look on his face.

"Well?"
"Oh. Well I couldn't sleep, and the plastic stars on my ceiling weren't enough tonight. So I thought I'd come and look at the real things. I'm having trouble finding Aries though."

Lucifer made a confused look before walking over and sitting down next to Trixie. He laid down, and she followed his actions.

"You see that bright star next to the almost orange one?"
"Where?"

Lucifer pointed to the star.

"There."
"Oh, yeah."
"That's the end of the constellation. If you go a bit more to the right you'll se the next part-"
"Oh I see it now. The hook part is just over there."
"Yeah. Now can you find-"
"Lucifer, what are you doing?"

The two of them shot up and came face to face with an upset Chloe. She looked at Lucifer and gave him a 'well' type of look.

"We were just stargazing detective."
"Okay well Trixie is supposed to be asleep, come on baby."
"Wait, mom. This was my own doing. I came out here first, don't be mad a Lucifer."
"Well I don't care who started it, you need to be in bed. Let's go."
"Five more minutes. Please!"
"I think if you tried you'd find it relaxing, detective."

She looked between the two of them suspiciously, before reluctantly walking to the other side of Trixie and laying down next to her.

"Okay, so start easy, find the big dipper."

Chloe looked at her daughter and shook her head, but looked back up to the sky and pointed at the constellation.

"There."
"Okay. Now from there, can you find leo?"
"Monkey, I don't even know what leo looks like."
"That's fine detective. We'll help you."
"So, you start at the bottom left corner of the big dipper. Then you go down, and there's the first star of the leo."
"Now if you go up and over a bit, you can see the neck and head of the constellation."
"And if you were to go to the left from the first star, you can find the body."

Chloe's face was confused as she was trying to process the information Lucifer and Trixie had given her. After a while it clicked and her mind figured it out.

"Oh, I see it. The body starts there and creates a sort of rhombus shape!"
"Well Trix, I think she's got it!"
"Yeah, me too. Mom, you think you cold find Gemini?"
"Umm..."
"Just start how we started last time." Trixie said softly.

Chloe looked at her daughter and smiled. She looked back up at the sky and found the big dipper. Trailing her eyes up, she scanned the sky looking for part of the next constellation. Finding it, she smiled and pointed.

"There."
"Brilliant, detective."

The three of them spent the next few hours looking at constellations. Slowly but surely, making their way across the sky, and investigating each constellation. When they ran out of ones fo find, Lucifer switched to telling stories of the stars, even helping them create constellations of their own. It wasn't until early in the morning that they went to bed, but none of them cared.
