'The Beginnings of Friends & an Enemy'

Its my first day here in this camp, I've been told we won't be here long and will be heading to a ship. I don't mind at all, I just wanna make a few friends So it doesn't feel so lonely.

"Alright umm Ms White."

"Present sir!"

"Ok good umm Mr Black."

"Here sir."

"Ok good, next is p-"

Role call. Makes me feel like km in school again but everyone here seems like they've done this before or just don't care. I'll assume it's that they've all done this before. That means I'm the newbie. During training camp I learned how to do wires, download files, swipe my ID, fix reactor, fix oxygen, dump trash, replenish water, and press the button in case of emergency. I still struggle with wires, runninf diagnostics, ID, and sometimes trash but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it as soon as we start doing stuff.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen I am your captain, now normally we wouldn't do role call on the first day like this we just assume you show up and are excited to do this."

"Please tell me that is a joke sir."

"Of course it is we have a record that shows it is only Ms White's first time doing this so I'll assign her to be with someone to help her."

"Thank you sir."

"The reason behind doing role call is because we were informed there was an imposter among us."

Whispers filled the room along with a cold breeze I couldn't help but feel terrified. What if the person who is supposed to help me is the imposter. I don't wanna die, not yet I still wanna have a family get a pet and live my life to its full petential.

"I hear your whispers and please know I will be coming along with guys on your adventure. I'll make sure nothing happens to you guys. To start you guys off with some basic information, please if you think anyone is acting suspicious please press the emergency button. If you see any bodie-"

"BODIES?!"

"Mr Pink please calm down, I understand its terrifying but you need to stay calm. You guys will do tasks as if nothing is wrong but you guy's will have access of the admin table, vitals, cameras, and which doors people have crossed. Vents are off limits if you are seen using vents you will be reported."

"Sir do you have the means to tell me our lives are on the line."

"No no you'll be fine."

"Sir..?"

"Yes Ms White."

"How will we get the imposter out of the camp."

"Ah yes great question pink!"

This sounds stupidly dangerous. I don't wanna stay here if I have a chance at dying. I mean I'm only 20.

"While you guys are at Mira HQ you'll do your tasks and the way you'll be able to get the imposter out is by finding a body than reporting it and-"

This is so not what I meant but I guess it's useful information for some people and some people isn't me.

"Now once you all have decided on your vote, we'll do majority rules and whoever has the most votes gets is who everyone suspects you than push the imposter off the building."

"Sir?"

"Yes Mr Black."

"What if the person to be suspected isn't the imposter."
