A New Adventure
Yet another day, Cassie set foot back to school. Back to pursuing her studies, and focusing on wanting to scream on the teacher's desk. Her first class period was a choir, as Cassie loved musicals, singing and her books, to help past time during school. She is adventurous on many subjects.
"Oi! Watch that note there!" exclaimed the teacher as Cassie sung the wrong note. After the awkward silent, the rhythm of "music" started coming back again.
"What a day ugh..." sigh Cassie. She sometimes gets stressed out singing in front of a lot of people, which leads to a slight distortion and distraction of what she is doing.
"I HATE life," Cassie thought to herself; always being depressed was a typical "tradition" for Ms. Cassie here. She could not wait until the end of the day; the bus was one of the best parts of the day for her, as she got to talk to her fandom friends Caitlin and Bella. They talked about all sorts of books; Cassie was a total fan-girl. She loved fantasy with lots of imagery providing her imagination. Cassie would do anything to live in her own world and leave all the stress behind, I mean "anything". After her choir class, Cassie walking out depressed, passing her friends with a sulking face to her next class. She often comes to class too early, as she stresses out each time she feels she is late to class when she's not. Her day was shifting from places, over here and there, everywhere! So I guess you can say she is experiencing this "fire alarm control" inside, where she is running around places, chopping down things, to end a fire of stress or something. After school, she goes home (Should be obvious by now).
On Sunday morning, Cassie's curiosity gotten the best of her, as the vibrating sound is louder than a nightclub, disturbing her sleep in her room. She looked under her bed and saw nothing but boxes and junk. Nothing glowing nor loud as a nightclub down there at all. She sighs and went downstairs for breakfast.
"Am I imagining the sound?" she asked herself. Smirked to herself, thinking how dumb it was to think about such a thing. She would listen to weird gothic, rock songs all the time, but she doesn't recall hearing that noise coming from anywhere familiar to her mind at all. Cassie swirled her cereal bowl reflecting on her life in school and how she really feels. She appreciates everyone around her, but she just wants to experience something or somewhere "new". After reflecting and swallowing her cereal full, she heads up to her room and belly flopped herself on her bed, forgetting she needs to drain all the food down first before flopping.
Then... she heard that odd sound again, but there's something new to it. It felt different this time as if it has charged enough power to vibrate the whole room down to bits.
"Hello?" whispered Cassie. This is new to her, as she believes she a is a physic, this is a strange phenomenon. She once again looked under. She pushed her hair to the side crawled under her bed and saw a strange glowing item inside some dusty cardboard boxes. She dragged the old cardboard boxes out, only finding nothing but pencils and other antique stuff. Cassie was confused as she thought she saw something glowing, so, she looked under and sees something attached under her bed instead. It was some sort of emblem, its shines bright gold with feathers on both sides of it, and writing on the emblem.
*Bottom has not been updated yet :)*
"The challenge of the immortals," said, Cassie, as she read the text. She slowly tucked herself away from under her bed and went on top of her bed. The emblem was shining bright and vibrating slower now as if it was claimed by the rightful master.
"I don't get it..." Cassie thought in her head. She examined it. It looked mysterious as if it's trying to tell her a message of some sort. She knows she heard that phrase somewhere before... from Greeks stories and such. She was too tired to think but just left it on her table. Her day passes by thinking about that emblem wherever she went. She had a meet up with her friend Simon, at a cafe and talked about random things and all, because, that's what they do.
"Do you know what this is?" asked Cassie as she took out the emblem from her mini pack and gave it to Simon. "The challenge of the immortals", "What is that?" wondered Simon. "That's what I don't know about, that's why I'm asking you dumb dumb" sighed Cassie.
"Well, we can check online if you want," said Simon. "K," said Cassie. They searched up on the internet for the details of the emblem. Just 5 minutes of researching, Cassie was already bored to death. She didn't find anything specific at all, just random pictures and bunch of words saying things.
"There is information you can find, some just can't be unlocked," said Cassie. "Stop being Chandi, Gandhi," said Simon. Cassie laughed awkwardly and sighs. "That was awkward..." exclaimed Simon. So... that meeting didn't really help, they didn't really get to know anything about this "emblem" and Cassie is still curious about it. She went home again, as usually, because she rarely goes to any other places, unless if there is an occasion, she went to her room, (again) and sat on the chair and put the emblem on the table. She thought it might help if she sketch it out a little bit, to examine it on paper and give details of what she knows and doesn't know.
"Cassie, what are you doing all the time in your room?" asked her mom. "Oh, nothing... just doing loads of stuff" said Cassie. "What "stuff"?" asked her mom. "Greek stuff," said Cassie. "Okay then, just do other things to you know, it's not good to be in the room all day," said her mom. Cassie quickly shoved her book away on the shelf and got the emblem out. She noticed the emblem has changed a little bit. The feathers are not so golden... it's turning a bit green, and the middle parts are turning white. Just turning away for three seconds, the badge morphed into a green leave and white emblem, with a crust of fire orbiting it.
"Aaahhh! It's hot!" shouted Cassie. No one heard her scream for some reason, her mom was literally just nearby and didn't hear her scream. The emblem was floating, whispering the words "The challenge of the immortals" over and over again. "Huh?" Cassie quickly exclaimed very quickly. The emblem was saying different things over and over again, each word mixed up together trying to create a message for her. "Please quickly come!" said the mysterious emblem.
"What? Come where? Who are you?". "To Aquila... where everything will change all because of you". Cassie was confused whatsoever, she can't scream for help because no one could hear her as if she was trapped in a curse of being muted. Nothing makes sense, literally, even the way I am explaining it right now. "Please, hold my internal flames and I will take you to Aquila...". "Why me? Where's Aquila? Huh?" questioned Cassie in a confused mind. "There's no time now, but there is time to explain there". The emblem's "flames of eternity" wrapped around Cassie's hands and legs, and went up on her like vines wrapping her up. The emblem explodes in a spark creating a red, orange and yellow liquid looking vortex. It was blurry at first, but moments later, the liquid flame vortex morphs into the the scenery of a pretty and beautiful particular design. It looked loyal and bright, and chariots in the background. The eternity flames pulled Cassie towards the vortex and Cassie screamed. "Aaaahh! The scenery is beautiful, but I don't want to be devoured by liquid fire!" Cassie morphed into the vortex. The eternity flames disappeared slowly and the vortex dissolved inside Cassie's room.
"Next stop, Aquila"
