"Come on, it's gonna be fun!"
"When has any of these pranks on Halloween ever been fun?"
"When has Halloween itself been fun?"
"Hey! Do not diss Halloween! Besides if we don't go through with it all or, I don't know, it's lame, I'll.... pay you guys both ten bucks each."
"Hell no! If I'm going through with this I want at least twenty."
"Are you trying to rob her?'
"Do you want the money or not?"
Molly rolled her emerald eyes and was really done with her two guys friends arguing over stupid things like money. As she pushed her dark brunette hair out of her eyes, she looked around at the dim house lights to her left, the semi-loud music coming from the party to the right, and the high full moon up above, she realized that.....
"Molls, I don't get why we are doing this. I mean...it's stupid and crazy! Right, Andy?" Molly stared the shy, brown haired-blue eyed boy down waiting to hear his response. He shifted back and forth, clearly thinking about what was the right thing to say.
"I mean, it could be fun..." He mumbled softly. Molly looked at the other boy standing next to him, making Andy look even more smaller and thinner than he truly was, only to see him rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, but it's your sister's party. I know I wouldn't do that to my sister if I knew what was going to happen." Andy fidgeted again, as he stuck his hands deeper inside his jacket pockets.
"Mike, what are you do making Andy feel bad?" Molly said, looking into the taller boy's milk chocolate eyes. Molly would have melted, like any other girl who first looked at Mike if she hadn't know him and what he has done. But she did. And she could understand why he hung out with them. Mike smiled, then shrugged.
"Just trying to make a point. Besides, taking your anger out on your sister in this way is stupid."
"What's stupid is that we are arguing over this when we should be crashing a party!" Molly yelled. Andy looked over at Mike as he sighed. They all grabbed the costumes laying on the ground and got dressed. Andy threw the long robe over his head, leaving a bit of it covering his eyes and Mike turned around and fixed his vest. Molly made sure they both couldn't see as she nearly completely undressed and slipped into the white Marilyn Monroe dress.
"Y'all can look now..." Molly said. Andy sighed and pulled the robe all the way down and Mike turned back around almost fully ready.
"You look lovely." Andy muttered to Molly as he looked through the pile of for his mask. She smiled at him as she stuffed her hair into a wig cap.
"Thanks, dude. But I don't run that way." Mike said, patting him on the back as Molly laughed. Andy couldn't help but silently scowl at Mike. He knew Andy liked Molly and did things to purposely make him look like a loser.
"Why is there a black rose?" Mike said, pulling it out of the pile of accessories and sorts.
"Don't touch it!!" Molly yelled, pulling the rose out of his hands. Molly, being the daughter of a gardener, saw roses in two different, unique ways. One was Love and the other Darkness. Love were these bright, plump red roses while Darkness were the darkest of the darkest roses out there. Every year on Halloween, she carried one black rose on her at all times and incorporated into her costume in some types of ways. It was her special tradition to wait for someone who truly loved her to take the Darkness, the black rose, and replace it with Love, the red rose. However, no one, not even her mother, caught on to this little tradition she did and every year she came back home with a full candy bag and an empty heart.
"Let's get going anyways." Molly whispered and headed towards the house that was blasting music. With Mike in front and Andy in the back, Molly felt like this could actually be pulled off. However, once they got closer to the door and ringed the doorbell, she was so sure and held Andy's hand for support.
"Hey, sexy." The slutty vampire said to Mike as she opened the door. Molly gripped Andy's hand tighter to help her from stop puking at the sight of his sister. She looked over at Molly and Andy then back at Mike.
"So Mad Hatter, Marylin, and...." Mike looked at Andy then back at her, and shrugged.
"I don't know, but can we come in please?" Andy's sister bit her lip, making Molly almost cringe, and smiled.
"Sure.... Welcome to the Halloween Blast." And, oh, what a blast it would be.......
