It's Not Goodbye, It's BRB

Chapter 3

“Oh man finally!” Sam practically screamed, waking me up.

“What?” I mustered as I took my head off Jc’s shoulder. 

“We are heeeerrrreeeee!” 

“Good, cause I am so done with being in the car” Ricardo pulled into the hotel parking lot - I guess they must have changed drivers while I was sleeping, I didn’t even notice Kian sitting next to me. 

“Hey” I heard Jc breathe into my ear.

“Oh, hi” I said with a sleepy voice. He kissed my forehead and smiled.

“So, first vidcon trip ARE YOU EXCITED?!” Kian basically yelled into my ear.

“YEAH! ARE YOU EXCITED KIAN?!” I yelled into his ear back, as we began bumping shoulders. This was our usually banter, but Jc and Ricardo looked a little shocked by all the yelling. 

“Yeah, but this is my second year so you know….BETTER THAN YOU”

“Psssh, whatever” both me and Kian laughed. We finally got out of the prison Sam calls a car and grabbed our bags. Sam jumped on Kian’s back as they ran to the front door of the hotel. “I swear they are like 5 years old.” I looked at Jc laughing and shaking my head. 

“Says the one who was just screaming in the car with Kian” Ricardo stated - I stuck my tongue out at him. “Hey Kian, Sam wait up! I’m the one with the room reservation!” Ricardo darted after them, trying to be the “responsible” one.

I felt Jc grab my hand and I intertwined my fingers with his, “So, Kaitlyn since we have a free night tonight, I was wondering…what if we went to like a movie or something?” he blushed slightly sending me a sweet smile.

“I would love that” I squeezed his hand, looking up and smiling at him. We made it to the front door and walked in, all the boys were standing there waiting for us. “So have you guys checked in yet?”

“Yeah, no thanks to you” Ricardo said rolling his eyes, trying to look mad at me. 

“Whatever, Dad!” I stuck my tongue out at him, he came running after me. I squealed letting go of Jc trying to dodge Ricardo as he threw me over his shoulder. 

“Ok, now come on Connor, Ricky, and Trevor are waiting for us”

“Wait, we aren’t sharing a room?” Kian asked.

“We are, but because we came at different times we had to check in separately so we could get keys. Duhh Kian” Sam interjected. 

“Oh, well I didn’t know” Kian said walking towards the elevator.

“Sometimes I wonder how you take so much of them” Jc said. “I love them but sometimes they get a little ‘old married couple’.” 

“Yeah, but that’s what’s funny….they have no idea they do it” I giggled. We finally made it to the room and were greeted by Connor, Ricky,and Trevor. I had never met them in person before or really had a full on conversation to be honest, I had just said my hellos and such when Kian or Sam skyped them. 

“Hi, guys” Connor said with a welcoming smile as he laid on the bed blogging.

“Wow freaking took you long enough” Trevor sassed sitting next to him doing the same.

“Hey, we got pizza coming in 10…you’re welcome.” Ricky laughed taking a sip of his glass of water. “Well hello, you must be Kaitlyn” he got up and gave me a hug.

“I thought you knew that Ricky.” I said breaking the embrace.

“I did, but you know - you’re much prettier in person”

“Thanks” I couldn’t help but blush. 

“Hey I’d watch out there Ricky, that’s Jc’s property.” Sam cheekily threw in.

“Oh, since when” Connor butted in winking at Jc, I assumed he knew Jc liked me.

“Since about umm….” Kian counted on his fingers “Two hours ago,” he looked around looking for confirmation “yeah since then” he smiled proud that he was the one who figured it out. 

“Aww that’s cute, look at how red he is” Trevor said walking over to Jc patting him on the shoulder. 

After about 3 hours of getting settled and just having a good time talking and laughing. Jc pulled me aside “So um, how about going seeing a movie with me in a hour” 

“That sounds fantastic, I’ll go get ready” I kissed his cheek and walked over to Kian who was by the bags.

“So what was that about?” Kian asked, he had obviously been watching me and Jc closely - he could be so protective. 

“Oh, Jc asked me to go with a movie with him in a bit”

“Well that’ll be cute. Do you want help picking something out, cause you know…I have some on key style”

“Umm sure haha I don’t really know what to wear so you can be of help” After a bit we finally picked something out.

Kian knew I was nervous so after I was all ready he gave me a little pep talk telling me how I looked beautiful, was great to talk to and how Jc was probably just as nervous as me - I was so lucky to have a friend like him. “Thanks babe” I kissed him on the cheek before exiting the bathroom. 

“Ready?” Jc asked me when I walked out

“Of course, you?” 

“Hold on” he ran to his bag and threw a beenie on.

“Ok, now I am” we said bye to everyone one and they threw one quickly back through an argument of what video game to play. Jc grabbed my hand and we left “You look gorgeous” 

“Psh look at you mister, lookin fiine” I winked and kissed him “mmmm and you taste good too” he laughed.
