JENNIE'S POV
It had been almost three weeks since Chuseok and that awkward interaction with Lisa. I needed quite a bit of time to figure out things about myself, and I needed space from her in order to do that but it hadn't been easy. Lisa had this way of making me feel so comfortable around her that I ultimately kept forgetting why I decided to distance myself in the first place and to actually do it.
In addition to that, I didn't have the time to dwell on my issues considering we'd been busy preparing for our midterms. Currently, all four of us were seated in the library, trying to review as many of the topics as we could since the midterms was just around the corner. As I was running through the flash cards I made, I noticed Chaeyoung fixing her stuff.
"You're leaving already? I haven't even finished half of the scope," I asked her.
"Uhm, I'll just continue at home. Jungmin is waiting for me outside. I'll see you guys tomorrow," she replied as she was closing her bag and headed out without waiting for our replies.
"My god! My head is killing me. I don't know if I can even finish everything before the midterms. UGH!" Jisoo exclaimed exasperatedly as she rubbed her temples.
"Come on, Chu. We can do this." Lisa patted her back in an attempt to console her. "Tell you what, we can have a party at the loft if we all pass the midterms," Lisa offered.
"YES! ALRIGHT! LET'S DO THIS! FIGHTING!" Jisoo shouted with renewed vigor, earning her a considerable amount of glares. She mouthed her apology and turned her attention back to her notes.

We spent the next couple of days studying together in the library after classes. When midterms came, all four of us practically looked like zombies. After our last exam, the four of us went out for dinner. We went to a restaurant that sells comfort food, sat at a booth near the window and ordered.
"So guys, who'd you invite for the party tomorrow?" Lisa asked as we were eating.
"Some of my choirmates would be there for sure. I asked our classmates, too," Jisoo answered with her mouth full, her hands clasped around a huge burger.
"Jungmin would be there with his friends and I invited the squad, but I don't know who among them's coming," Chaeyoung said with a shrug but kept her eyes on her plate.
I swallowed the food in my mouth before I spoke, "I sent out a message to our troupe's group chat though I didn't check who replied. But knowing them, they'll all definitely be there."
"We could buy everything we need tomorrow after lunch so we could set up the loft after," Chaeyoung suggested.
"Yeah, sure," Lisa agreed. "I have some equipment, too. We could invite a DJ. Do you know anyone who could spin?"
"I'll ask our classmate Hyoyeon," Jisoo offered with a grin. "I'm so excited! This party would be lit!"
We finished our meal and paid our bill but as soon as we stepped outside, Jisoo looked back at us expectantly. "Guys! Let's get dessert. There's an ice cream parlor I heard about and it's supposed to serve artisan flavors. They even have butterbeer flavor!"
"Sorry, guys. I can't. I need to go home 'cause Jungmin will call me soon. But you guys go on ahead," Chaeyoung declined while giving us an apologetic smile.
"Please, just come with us Chaeng," Jisoo pleaded, her hand on Chaeyoung's shoulder.
"I really can't, Chu. Plus I'm really tired," Chaeyoung insisted.
