chapter 5

A.j's pov

              I turned around and saw Mom. "Mom why....what happened!? I can't be dead I have Whisper to take care of please!" I said starting to cry. She looked at me and said "A.j.....you have one chance left in life if you die again then your not coming back to life." She warned. I nodded my head. She reached into her chest and pulled out a ball of light. She blew it towards me then all of a sudden I felt a stabbing pain in my stomach.

           I jumped up on the cold snow. I looked around and saw Ginger sinking her teeth into Arvo's arm. "GINGER STOP!!!!" She dropped him emedeatly and looked up at me. "We've done enough damage!" I yelled. She glared at Arvo and kicked snow at his face as she walked towards me. "Wait do you want to join our group?" Mike asked. "Are you fuckin kidding me!? His cat just killed Bonnie and almost me!!" Arvo yelled. "Um Bonnie put a gun to his head and you shot her like 5 times and you shot her boy!!" Mike yelled back at him. All of a sudden Whisper jumped on my back and whispered in my ear "first of all that lady over there has no head and second of all who are those people?" "Our new group" I said walking over to them. "But if you try anything on me or my little

group....this will be the last face you will ever see!" I said pointing at Ginger. She opened her mouth and made the most terrifying sound ever. It even scared me a little bit. Arvo jumped back a little and I felt Whisper tense up but then relaxed. "Well let's get a move on then" I said adjusting Whisper on my back. We started walking. Whisper told me story's about what her and Kenny would do for fun when they had the time to have fun. Like this one time they went out and hunted walkers for fun and another time they got to go swimming! I've only gotten to do that like 5 times in my life.

                   We came up to this RV and stopped so Mike could unlock the door. "So were you and Bonnie like...a thing?" I asked trying to not make it awkward. "Oh no she was not my type but she tried" he laughed. We all walked in and Ginger jumped up on the bed that was in there. "No no animals on-" she looked at him with those big brown eyes. "What?" She said innocently. "Uuuhh oh nothing" he said looking away from her. Whisper got off my back and went over to Ginger. She laid down next to her and fell asleep on Ginger. I did too.

          I woke up to Arvo hitting me in the head with his gun. "Get the fuck up and don't say a word" he whispered. I sat up half way and whispered calmly "if I make a single movement or whisper in her ear she will jump up and rip your throat out. Go back to sleep Arvo and I won't tell her this happened. I won't tell her you tried to kill me while she was asleep." He shook his head and put his gun in my face. "Get the fuck up NOW!" He threatened. I put my hand right above Ginger about to tap her. I looked back up at Arvo and smirked "fuck off or I will end your life right now" I threatened back. He was still not moving. I only touched one of the hairs on her back and she swiped one of her massive pause at him. He jumped back and went back to his bed. I only fell back asleep when I heard him snoring.

               "A.j" Mom said holding her arms out for me to run into. I hugged her and fell into her embrace. "I miss you so much Mom. I love you" I said starting to cry. "I love you too honey" she said soothingly and pet my head. "You've been taking real good care of my hat haven't you?" She asked looking at her old hat. "Yes ma'am I have" I said. "Alright A.j I have to bounce" she said giving me a hug. "I love you A.j" "I love you too Mom...bye" I said.

               I woke up and everyone else was still asleep. I got up and put my shoes on. I was about to go outside when I heard a loud purr behind me. I turned around and saw Ginger. "Can I go with you?" She asked. I nodded my head and she shrank down to a cat. She jumped up and sat on my shoulder.

          I walked for a while and then found the perfect place to sit and think. I sat down on a big rock/bolder type thing and watched the water dance.

Clem's pov

            I watched as A.j sat deep in thought. Then I remembered the reason he wanted a second chance. "Mom why....what happened!? I can't be dead I have Whisper to take care of please!" His words echoed in my head. I just got an idea and went back to the RV. First I went into Arvo's dreams.

Arvo's pov

            "Arvo"  a familiar voice whispered. I looked up and saw an older version of Clementine. I looked at her with fear because I tried to kill her "son" twice. I backed away from her but my back hit a tree. We were at that place when Bonnie, Mike, and me stole all the food. I didn't want to watch myself shoot a little girl. I looked away but Clementine grabbed my head and made me watch. That part kept playing over and over again. Me shooting her in the shoulder, her tiny body falling limp to the ground, and us stealing the truck. Older Clem let go of my head and looked me straight in the eye. "If you EVER threaten my son again you will see this every night of your life!" She said inches away from my face. I nodded my head and she disappeared.

               I woke up and A.j and Ginger were gone and Whisper and Mike were still sleeping. I thought about my dream and all of a sudden I saw Clem just standing there in front of me. She just looked at me for a few minutes. Then she pointed at me and slowly disappeared.

Whispers pov

                 I was walking through a meadow when I saw uncle Kenny and a girl walking towards me. I ran towards them and the girl looked at me. "Whisper I'm Clementine did you know the reason A.j wanted to stay here was because of you?" She said. "He did it...because of me?" I asked shocked. She nodded her head and said "I think he might like you and if he does I approve." She smiled "I'm gonna let you catch up with your uncle I have to go." She said and then disappeared.

A.j's pov

           I got up and headed back to the RV.

When I got there everyone was awake Arvo and Whisper looked like they had seen a ghost. "What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost" I laughed. "We did we saw Clementine" Whisper said. I looked at them and then turned around "Mom why you freakin people out that's not cool" I said. She appeared in front of me. "Because Arvo tried to kill you last night while your "bodyguard" was a sleep and the only reason your here is because you wanted to take care of Whisper" she said crossing her arms. "Yes but that doesn't mean I want you to invade their privacy" I said. "Ok, ok I'll only visit your dreams except if Arvo trys to kill you again.....well I already made my promise. Love you A.j see you tonight" she said disappeared.
