Rhiannon's POV:

I stood in the training room looking out the window. What I liked about this particular window was you had a perfect view of the courtyard, which was occupied by a carriage. A carriage that unfamiliar to me.

"Camille Belcourt." a voice sounded, as I turned around my pulse began to race as Jem stood before me. "She is a vampire. The one de Quincey is infatuated with to be exact."

"And Magnus Bane if I am correct." I added, looking away and back to the carriage and people below. I noticed Charlotte, Henry and Will standing at the entrance. My stomach and heart both fluttered at the sight of him.

"That is also true." Jem nodded, "Will spoke to me this morning about you."

My head snapped towards Jem, my heart beating even faster now. "Exactly what did he say out of curiosity."

"That he is worried that he might be getting to close to you." Jem explained. I felt my core temperature drop like a million degrees as I felt myself nod and look back out the window. My breathing shallowed and my pulse beat was getting a little to fast for comfort.

"What are your thoughts on the matter?" I whispered, my eyes squinting to try and see exactly what this Camille Belcourt looked like but she never turned around or looked up before she came inside the walls of the Institute. Into a part of the Institute meant for Vampires such as herself.

"I think he likes you just as he likes Tessa." Jem answered, turning to go out the door.

"And what does that mean" I question further turning to go with him.

"It means that he, even though he acts rash and coldly towards her, he cares deeply for her. And you." Jem explained.

"And if your assumptions are wrong?" I inquired, a small smile coming to Jem's face.

"Well then let's hope your heart does not get broken to much over it." he whispered, the smile faltering a little.

"And it breaks fully what then?" I was hoping for one in particular answer though I was not sure I was going to get it.

"Then I hope someone will be there to pick up the pieces." he stated. "For your sake. Because I am afraid of what might happen if your heart shall break and no one is there to put it back together again."

"Well I hope you will put up with me even if no one is." I smile, nudging him lightly.

"So you do have-" but Jem was cut off by a coming coughing attack. I urged him to a chair that was closest to us, while grabbing a handkerchief from the pocket the was so fashionably put into my training gear. Once the coughing attack subsided Jem tried to take a deep breath. I sat down beside him and took his hand in mind gently squeezing it. "I'll be okay. Honest."

"No you wont Jem. You will never be okay." I whispered a pang of hurt going through my chest at the words, as Jem looked at me paler than normal. I heard footsteps coming from down the hall, and I knew immediately that they were Will's.

"Camille is in the-" Will started but stopped when he noticed the look on Jem's face. A look of pain and agony. "Come I will take you back to your room."
